  • Hi all, Leaving in five days for Disney and Universal (have two Harry Potter fanatics in the house). Will be our third trip and we are really looking forward to it. I had posted an original goal of 34 pounds of weight loss but that has not happened. I have been yoyoing up and down for the past three months - am down net 2…
  • I completely agree. I lost over 60 pounds four years ago and have gained about 25 of it back. When I first lost, I noticed that people were talking to me more, taking me more seriously. The only thing that changed about me was my size, the rest was still the same. I just don't get why people think you have become a…
  • I have been off and on for a while. You have to stick with it and it becomes habit. There's so many friends that you can make that inspire and support. Feel free to add me.
  • I've been on for a while but go ahead and friend me. Nothing like motivation from a whole ton of people trying to get to the same place as you
  • I would also have guessed Skittles (hoped!). Fruit and veggie choices sound great and this is the time of year when everything is fresh and delicious! Stay on track!
  • Thanks for this quick reference. I have been sticking to romaine lettuce for the last few days as its easiest to put protein in a salad for lunch but its getting boring. I love yogurt and fruit so I have had some strawberries each day. But its hard to stick to the induction phase so I am making a choice to top it a little…
  • Good for you on your weight loss! We all have to do what works for us. I have not found the right formula yet. I am really worried about the energy level drop that I know happens with low carb so I will wait and see.
  • I was having digestive issues and have difficulty maintaining my iron levels. My specialist attributed my issues to gluten intolerance. If I stay away from gluten for long periods of time, my iron shoots way up - regular gluten intake prevents my body from maintaining my iron levels. I feel much better and don't have the…
  • That's my worry - my cholesterol is very low which is good but I noticed that my calorie count is higher. I am not as hungry, though. I will research Paleo as a few of you have already mentioned it and see what that's at.
  • Hi! I have been at the same weight for about six weeks. 12 pounds just fell off then nothing! It's quite frustrating. I have done this once before and when I was in a plateau, I found that eating a little bit more ever few days helped to get my metabolism going, but it took a long time. Sounds like you are working out a…
  • Water is a good way to stay hydrated and avoid the soft drinks. When you are thirsty, and hungry, its easy to grab a large cup full of cola. Last time we went down, I brought carrot sticks and trail mix, which was a little higher in calories but healthy with nuts and dried fruits. The kids weren't keen on it, but they…
  • Hi all, I have not logged into this group yet but I am happy to report that I have over 300 minutes this week already - about 200 of those minutes are from actual sweat it up exercise and the rest is from running around my house doing my mom duties (cooking, cleaning, etc).
  • Stick to the real food and avoid snacking. That should keep the calorie count down. And yes, there's so much walking that you will be burning extra calories all day. But remember that you are on vacation so enjoy a little bit. Perhaps give yourself one snack or treat per day just to help it feel like you are cheating but…
  • You mean, none of you have ever gained 5-6 pounds in water weight at any time during the month? I must be an extreme exception, then. Your body is doing different things and undergoes different stresses - you could have a combination of both. The key is to have a consistent loss over a period of time.
  • Congratulations! I know the feeling about the tight seats! Went there for the first time when I was about 50 pounds heavier than now and it was not comfortable! You will have a much better time with all the weight loss.

  • Hi all, Disney is one of my most favourite places in the world! Truly magical. We are planning a family vacation this summer, our third time. Also plan on hitting Universal - Hogwarts for my two Harry Potter fan daughters, but we have to go back to Disney. I hope to be back down 34 pounds for my trip in August. Looking…
  • It's a great site. I just joined as well and find the friends truly inspirational. Feel free to add me.
  • Count me in! I am pretty good at loggin in daily but don't always remember to count absolutely everything I put in my mouth. You know, the spoon of ice cream, the two chips, etc. Those calories can kill you! As will the sit ups but I will love the change in the end. Good luck and talk next week.
  • Absolutely possible. Muscle or water gain could be the culprit. Don't get discoureaged, just keep at it.
  • Sounds like we are all struggling. I gain then lose then gain again. Water helps as does keeping busy to get your mind off eating. As for snacking, hummus and veggies filll you up and are good calories. I personally have also found thatlooking at whateveryone on this site has lost is motivating me.
  • Good for you! I havea way to go as well. Keep at it and you will look like that in the end. Riding must help a lot I would think. Its so much work.
  • I looked through your photos and can't believe they are of the same person! Congratulations. You are an inspiration.
  • I am new to this and looking for friends and supporters. I have about 40 pounds that need to come off. I previously lost 62 pounds but gained about 30 back. I was ten pounds from my goal weight but the weight loss stalled and I became frustrated and of course, made myself feel better by eating. I'm not quite sure I can…
  • I love it! Jillian Michaels is a true motivator but a real B! I found Level One easy but Level Two is more of a challenge and quite the workout if you exert yourself 100%. I combine it with a treadmill workout and it seems to be doing the trick.
  • My baby is graduating high school this June. Talk about emotional rollercoaster. It's hard to let go and not be the center of their life anymore (they will have lots of friends and sometimes come home crying because someone made them feel bad). But there are so many rewards and benefits. It's like when they crawled, then…
  • Luna bars are my favourite. High in protein but I'm not certain about the sugar content. I like them because they don't taste like you are eating sawdust.
  • Congratulations and good job! You look great! Love the six-pack!!
  • Same here. Been on for almost two weeks. I have not weighed myself as I prefer to use my clothes as a guide for the first little while. I don't get discouraged that way. The community is great. Such motivation and so many individuals experiencing the same issues as me. Feel free to add me.
  • Visited New Brunswick a few years ago. Fabulous province. Love Eastern Canada. You guys are the nicest people in the world!
