quote] MFP automatically subtracts 500 calories from your daily caloric needs based on your lifestyle and BMR. When you exercise, you increase your caloric output. For instance: My BMR is 1400. My lifestyle (slightly active) expends an extra 300 calories. That's 1700 calories a day that I burn WITHOUT exercise. MFP…

Love mini candy bars- Twix, snickers:smooched: My all time favorite food though is chicken fingers with hot sauce and blue cheese dressing! I have to stay away from that though:cry:

I did the same thing! I actually took a nap today instead of jumping on the treadmill! I still have time though. You could do some exercise at home. Even if it is just sit ups:wink: You might feel better doing something!

Should I worry more about my sugar intake or sodium intake for weight loss? I was keeping track of sodium and doing ok unless I ate bad things, but switched my counter to sugar and noticed I was quite a bit over my daily goal! Won't I lose more with less sugar? I don't have high blood pressure and don't add salt to…

I think it just may be looking at your calories. You add calories to your food when you exercise and maybe it doesn't subtract that when you finish for the day. I noticed the same thing.

Great info!! I have done the real age survey and didn't like what I saw. I am now trying to take care of "me" so I will be here to take care of my kids and grandkids (not close to ready for that but do want to be around:wink: ). Thanks for sharing!!

So you are saying that I should eat the extra 200 calories I gained from exercise? Will I still lose? Or does my body need them because of the exercise? I'm a bit confused!:ohwell:

You go girl!!

My question is do you continue eating up to the calories you gain from exercise? Say I eat 1280 calories, then exercise and have 200 extra calories. Do I have to eat those extra 200 calories?? Or should I?

Welcome and good luck!!:flowerforyou:

I know how you feel. I have been at it for 3 weeks and have lost 6 lbs. but hoped for more. Are you drinking water? I find that helps me! Maybe you are gaining muscle and will shortly see the weight loss. Remember, the weight didn't get there in 2 weeks. It will take time. Don't give up!! Some days are more frustrating…

There is no doubt in my mind that you will do it!!! Keep up the good work!

I'm hoping to have an obsession like that! I am still fighting against some of the unhealthier choices. I am a lot more self- conscious about what I eat now though. I hope to get to that point of not even wanting to eat the "cheat" foods. Keep obsessing! I bet you are having success!!!:drinker:

I wonder if Mike is overloaded with the inputs ,and it may take a while for them to be available for everyone because they want to check them out and make sure they are legit? I have had the same issue with friends trying to find things I have put in, and I have done this through many other computers, so I don't believe it…
