LOL that is bull, do some research, carbohydrates are the only non essential dietary macronutrient. They are not the only source of energy that your brain and red blood cells can make use of and cutting them is neither unwise or dangerous. You are sadly and highly misinformed.

Its been years long process but 72 of it has happened since Oct 2011, I have lost and regained until I was diagnosed with primary carbohydrate intolerance.

I'm 36, own a business (only work 20-30 hrs wk) and run a non-profit(part time), I'm a full time student, I am also active in my Church (study groups, missions, etc.) and am a single mom of 3 kids.

I am low carb and don't count calories but never seem to go over anyways, I eat when I am hungry but I eat quality foods so the calories don't stack up as fast.
-
Where are your macros at right now? It might just need a simple readjustment and cutback, some people eat very high carbs and cutting back to 200 or less is enough to get them going. I am ultra low carb/keto and will be out of medical necessity for the rest of my life, you can friend me also.

I don't concern myself with calories at all, I am low carb/ ketogenic. I watch my protein(try to get enough) and my carbs (not to much) my macros are 5/50/45 carbs/protein/fat

Thanks, yeah we probably didn't need another low carb thread but it's exhausting to see this often necessary way of life torn to shreds all the time because people THINK dietary carbohydrates are essential to life. I know my situation is extreme but they are thousands of people who are diabetic/insulin resistant/morbidly…

Apology accepted. I don't think you are taking into account the fiber subtracted from carb, 4-6 carbs for an entire meal that provides half my days fiber and calories and a good little dose of protein, not to mention what it does for my sanity to feel like I can have a treat now and then, it a pretty good deal for me, and…

Well I am probably going to go against the grain here. I haven't read most of the posts and my kids are a little bit older. While you already know the answer on the activity part, I do NOT think it's bad for children to learn now how to read nutrition labels and learn what is healthy and what is not. I take my kids grocery…

I Really, the apple fritter that I have MOST mornings? Funny, I don't know when 2 days of my entire life became most mornings, I guess if I was a few days old? That's exactly the kind of judgmental crap I was waiting for. That apple fritter is made with flax meal and provides me with fiber, omega 3 fatty acids, and protein…

You must not have looked very far, I eat lean protein, I eat salmon, talapia, cod, venison, bison, etc... did you read that it said VENISON sausage? Venison is a lean meat. And I don't need carbs, I can't process them so what would be the purpose of taking them in besides adding unnecessary sugars to my body. There is…

It said "orry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist.'

Hmmm I have never had them not rise, you used baking powder and not soda right? Could you have cooked them too long? If you over cook they will flatten back out, next time watch very carefully and when you see that they are not wet looking anymore stop them and test with a toothpick.

It's interesting that you bring this up, I haven't had a seizure since February 13th of this year, January was when I really decided to cut my carbs back to what my doctors were recommending (I fought this all the way, I love carbs). I've been asked to send in my reports to another doctor. I didn't start to have seizures…

Yeah, been trying to work on this part but organ meats are just not my thing, maybe I don't have the right way to cook them, it's a texture issure for me.
-
way ahead of ya!

Yes I was, I get sick of people spouting off nonsense about how without carbs your brain can't function and how they are essential for your red blood cells, carbs are yummy, some of them provide great nutrients and they add flavor but they are not essential.

I've been doing this long enough I am over the tired, I have enough energy to run a business(part time), a non profit(part time) be a full time student, a full time single mom, active in Church groups and organizations (some event weekly), maintain a house, and work out 2 hours a day. Now the keto breath, gums, mint,…

My calories are normally 1800 and if I am hungry I eat. I haven't been working out this week because I put in 56 hours of physical labor last week and not only am I sore but I am playing catch up with my school work. Not moving my butt means I'm not as hungry. Oh and I only have 1/3 of a stomach, if that. So your judgement…

Actually I lack the proper enzymes and amino acids to process carbohydrates so I am one of those few that it is suggested that I maintain less than 20g of carbs per day for the rest of my life. Since I try to keep to that I am healthier than I have ever been.
-
I do, and again I ask you what's wrong with my food diary?
-
because it was already counted into that particular resteraunts food item or that recipe and I picked it out.
-
Really what's wrong with my food diary?
-
I didn't say before I go crazy, I said how long could I survive! LOL

We have a winner!
