“Here I go again on my own....” sorry, musician mind here! :) Technically, I’m supposed to be on a temporary “diet” due to a prednisone Rx, but I want to keep it going. Let’s see how this goes.

I work out at my apartment complex's workout room. I've been working out in the mornings all summer, and sometimes the other people in there are distracting. There's one guy who comes in, does two reps at a time on various machines set to a heavy weight, and grunts super loud while he does it. Today, he brought a friend…

I have to officially start doing this, but I was going to reward myself for every time I worked out. I was thinking about giving myself $1 for each day I exercised, and put it into a fund that would help with the costs of any clothes I would need to purchase in the future. Since I'm been lazy in regards to setting it up, I…

I'll join in - I'm doing C25K, so I'm doing the combo walking/running. I'd like to do 35 miles this month.

I would have to say I was in the same boat as you. I lacked motivation (even though I would walk up to 4x a week after work with coworkers), and I finally told myself that I would work out after a few days after the school year ended. That was June 3rd, and I've done something every day, even if it was just a short walk.…

I'm over 200, and while I can't do it for very long intervals (maybe a few minutes at a time with walking in between), running is my favorite activity. I use it as a double-duty activity: cardio and lung strengthening. I'm trying to help improve lung function - I'm a choir teacher. The funny part is...since I started…

I figured I would update every few days, so I didn't spam this thread. 6/3 - 1.51 6/4 - 2.57 (I walked 1.56 in the morning, then my mom wanted to walk in the evening, so I walked another 1.01) 6/5 - 1.84 6/6 - 2.96 (1.96 in the morning, and 1.00 in the evening) 6/7 - n/a (developed painful blisters from new shoes) 6/8 -…

I'll join in, too. I loved walking with my coworkers after work, but right now it's summer break. Plus, it strengthens my lungs, which is helpful for an asthmatic musician. Let's do 30 miles for me, also. I did 1.51 miles today very comfortably, so I think I need to push it a bit.
