  • Exactly what I was going to say. I have a Timex also and for my P90X workouts I burn anywhere from 550-900 calories in 1-1.5 hours. That HRM came with a test to find your Max HR but I didnt follow it because it said my Max was 164  . Even during the "non-cardio" workouts for P90X my heart rate can get up in the…
  • I use a heart rate monitor and burn anywhere from 500-850 calories per workout. It will vary a ton from person to person so your best bet would be to either just use what the nutrition plan estimates of 600 calories per workout, or invest in a HRM. HTH
  • Taryn - Are you actually pictured on the P90X ads that show on MFP?! I just saw the ad again and it had your name on it. That's AWESOME! I've seen a lot of the success stories and transformation pictures and have to tell your "after" picture is exactly what I want mine to look like.
  • mmmmmm oreos...
  • This is always my excuse - But I am a sucker for the boy scouts or whoever sells the $10 popcorn :grumble: . Everyone in my office bought a bunch of cookies and they were delivered today and of course everyone is willing to share! I like Samoas ok but aren't really crazy the cookies overall, if I want a cookie, the hubby…
  • I think you'll like it, and - Yes, I could go for 95 and humid right about now.... ahaahhhhhh:glasses:
  •
  • Perfectly fair. I have seen several of your posts and you seem very knowledgeable. I just didn't want the OP to think that P90X would be a bad choice. :flowerforyou:
  • I completely agree with you!
  • I honestly don't think P90X is hype at all, and I believe that my overall fitness has improved drastically in the past 48 days as a result of "muscle confusion"
  • For me, I was a member of a gym for over 2 years and was going nowhere fast. I just didnt have the knowledge or willpower to really do what I needed to do to get where I want to be! I am on day 48 of P90X and have seen great results so far. It was the best choice for me because there is no guess-work involved. Do the…
  • Lolo and I will be taking more walks this Spring and Summer because her boy friends live right up the road now and they like walks a lot!
  • I am also lost... :indifferent:
  • Aww! Sammy is so cute! Lois will be tired for days. She played hard Friday night with her 2 lab friends and then took a road trip where she met a new friend on Saturday. She slept all day yesterday and was still sleeping when I left for work this morning. She is soooooooo ready for Spring! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • P90X Doubles so 1-2 hours 6 days a week, looking to add a running routine once (if ever) Spring arrives! I eat 1900-2400 calories per day depending on my exercise calories.
  • I hope you get some good, knowledgeable responses here. Mine runs pretty high during exercise too. I've been researching the "zones" and such but can't seem to get a clear answer...
  • I burn anywhere between 400-900 calories, depending on which workout I am doing. It is going to differ for every person. Because I am still out of shape my heart rate runs very high during my workouts, therefore burning more calories. From what I understand, the more conditioned I become, I will be able to do the same…
  • Agreed. I knew the meat was old burgers and that just totally turns me off. I don't understand why fast food restaurant's can't offer anything that is worth a crap.
  • Elyria... My husband is from Polk
  • I'm on day 44 of P90X. I'm still up 3-4 pounds from before I started  . I'm still sore after EVERY workout... Could that be the reason I haven't lost those pounds? I have my defecit set pretty low but though I would have seen my scale go back at least a little bit by now... Also, NONE of my measurements have budged…
  • My GOAL is to still be wearing a bikini when I am 40!
  • I started out here at 137 pounds hoping to get down to about 123-125 pounds. I have been on here for a full year and am still at the 10 pounds lost mark. When you don't have much to lose it is going to take a loooooooooooooooong time to see the number on the scale that you want. I think you should start focusing more on…
  • 2 eggs, 1tbs spicy mustard, 1 tbs honey, 1 tbs hot sauce - mix together marinate chicken for a couple hours (or you don't have to marinate I suppose) Crunch up enough plain shredded wheat to "bread" chicken. Add seasonings like garlic powder, dry mustard, crushed red pepper, whatever you like. Marinate or just dip the…
  • Dang! I could really go for one of these right now  ! I'm just missing the cocoa, baking powder and egg white! ahhhh I'll have a spoonful of natural peanut butter to hold me over.
  • Maid, are you back at home yet? Lois has been restless this week keeping her mommy and daddy up at night.
  • oooooooooo neat! :flowerforyou:
  • eApps, I gotta tell you, when I saw the title "UGHHHHHHHhhhhH" I honestly had a feeling it was you. "Like I'm going out to dinner with a friend tonight that i havent seen in a while so I know today is already going to be bad." WHY does that make today bad? You can't make a smart decision at dinner? The restaurant doesn't…
  • Thumper, thanks so much for your input! I will take a look at all my paperwork and gather some information. I found out that it has been in an accident before because it was in an accident last week (:ohwell: ) and is at the body shop now. My husband took it in and the first thing the guy asked him was if it had been in an…
