LOL, oh yeah, I can too. I wear a major strap me down bra for working out, and if I have to run anywhere fast at work--I hold those suckers in place with my arms. I have those tight exercise pants to hold the tummy in place. There would be no way I could jog without my Enell bra and those pants.

What's the site? I admit, I failed miserably and started over tonight. Keep bugging me about it, please?

I look at it this way: At 254 pounds, the world knew I had a major problem. I wore my "issues" in my skin, in the form of layers of fat. At 198 pounds, I'm still morbidly obese, but I'm in less pain physically now that have 54 fewer pounds to lug around every day. The boobs are looking a little deflated, and yeah, the…

Welcome aboard :-) Love this site, it's helped me more than anything else I've ever done/tried for health and fitness. I've been here almost a year. I think the flexibility, the ability to customize this to exactly what I need it to do and be for *ME* has been the key. I love having a way to track calories right on my…

I love my Fitbit! I asked for it for my birthday, because I felt too guilty spending that much money ($99) on a pedometer. I love it, wear it all the time, and it really has helped me become more active.

^ Agreed. However, I also feel like I don't look any different, but everyone tells me I look very different after losing 54 pounds.

Can I just say OUCH? I started the 30day shred last night and couldn't even do the level one correctly, Jillian would have kicked my *kitten*. I'm so sore today.

BTDT, gained it ALL back, +10. Then got back to my lowest weight since college, gave up when it got really hard (I couldn't see the changes--serious body dysmorphia) gained it all back again plus about 20. Now I'm down 54 pounds in almost a year, still not back to that low weight. Yes, I battled disappointed in myself.…

Great work!! I'm always amazed to see how different people look with the weight off. You look like a totally different person. Great attitude, very inspirational.

Make your diary public so people can help you with your food, and brace yourself because people WILL be honest. Second, do you weigh and measure everything you eat? Third are you pushing yourself at the gym? Lastly, have you had any changes to your shape/size of clothing?

I recently saw someone who posted that they use a list to help keep them on track. I'm thinking about doing this too. Something along the lines of: Drink 8 glasses of water a day (check) 30min of exercise (check) 30min of strength training (check) 10,000 steps on Fitbit (check) Just tossing some thoughts out that might…

I haven't picked a swimming suit yet. That's next on the list! I need one that has an actual bra in it to look decent.

I'm set for about a pound loss per week normally. For the month of December, I set it to maintenance. Normally, I have the macros set for 25% fat, 25% protein, and the rest carb. I have a hard time hitting the protein at that level, but it's a goal. I also set sodium for 1500mg/day, and I'm usually over on that too, but…

Yogurt is always a good idea if you're taking an antibiotic. A good probiotic tablet could be used as well. I hate metronidazole (flagyl) because of the taste. That nasty metallic flavor just lingered in my mouth...blech! I think it tends to make everyone feel awful. Heartburn sucks, dairy does help with that too, but you…

Zantac can NOT be substituted for Prilosec in this case. To the OP, if prilosec is prescribed and you do have weight gain, please discuss any potential medication changes with your doctor.

I read the whole thing too, and wanted to add my congrats on all that you have accomplished. For many of us, weight is a symptom--not the problem. My depression added a lot of pounds to my body and it was a vicious cycle. To the world, I was fat because I was a lazy slob (which is what echoed in my head) but the truth is…

Thanks for starting the group. My name's the same. I do occasionally ramble on the blog things here so I'll share my disclaimer: The writings I do on my MFP blog are not intended to suggest that I'm an actual "writer". It's for my process through all this and mine along. If you choose to read, do so at your own literary…

^^LMAO! Agreed, have never seen this in the ER

Plantar fascitis sucks. Sorry you're dealing with it.

I wash 2-3x a week. The rest is a rinse, depends on how I feel. I will use conditioner on some of the rinse days, just depends on how I feel. I'm a little past shoulder length, but it's not thick, very, very fine. I usually pull it back for work, since I'm in healthcare and moving a lot it gets sweaty at work and much,…

I love that I can plug my phone into it and talk hands free if I want. Sound quality is not the greatest at higher speeds. It is compatible with Ifit.…

Have you set your calorie goals yet? In the beginning, I simple cut back. I knew I'd have to make a lot of changes and it was easiest for me to eat essentially the same things, just portion control. I started drinking more water to help with hunger. I cut out fast food (I had a bad habit with that.) After awhile, I decided…

I agree with you as well. You CAN work in junk food. I don't usually look at other people's diaries unless they ask me to do so.

And I can out run my neighbor, who is a twig (about 100 pounds) and eats oreos for lunch every day. My Cholesterol and triglycerides are perfect, regardless of my diet. That's genetics, which is likely the case of the two people you are talking about. I have none of the health problems associated with obesity. My mother in…

I disagree--you can be skinny and still have poor stamina and clogged arteries because of food choices. While I see your point, I think improving the quality of the food you eat is important. Says the girl eating peanut M&Ms and drinking a glass of wine for her late night snack. When I started this journey, I really just…

I'm sorry to hear about your health problems too. Diabetics hold a special place in my heart because I'm married to a Type I. Keep up the hard work, I know it's even harder with trying to control your sugars. You CAN do this!

I think listening to your doctor for recovery from your surgery is your best bet right now. Keep on with your diet and your cardio. You will continue to drop weight.

I was a multiple times a day pooper until I started eating better. I think part of the decrease for me was a decrease in volume and an improvement in the quality of food I was eating. Now it's once a day, typically. And also a much smaller volume. If you're going less than once a day, increase your fiber and fluid intake.…

Down 54 pounds now, bra has gone from 42DDD to 38F. The F in a 38 is slightly smaller cup than in my 42. I feel like I've lost a little volume, but not much. I'd love a lift for my 40th birthday.

Sounds like Biggest Loser BS to me. I've seen Bob's rules before and I don't think they are sustainable. It's no surprise the BL contestants are gaining so much of their weight back trying to follow rules like this. ETA: I don't think the rules about carbs, white stuff, going to bed hungry, etc. even make sense. Portion…
