^^^ YES!!!! 1. Live and let live. 2. More for me. I've lost 51 pounds eating at the correct level for me. As I've lost weight, I've adjusted my calories. I have had days where I struggle to eat 1200, and I've had days where I'm starving. A low day doesn't correlate to the next day being high for me either. There is no…

Sounds very considerate to let your neighbors know what you're doing. I think that's fair, and get your workout it. Maybe there's a time of day that will be less disruptive for them. I've had neighbors who wouldn't have cared, and I had neighbors who complained when I dropped a case of soda that we were "partying all night…

My MIL has very high cholesterol d/t genetic factors. All of her siblings do as well. She tried for years to reduce with diet and exercise, and as a result is a tiny little thing, eats very healthy (no red meat, no butter, high fiber, high omega foods, etc, etc) All the diet things you are "supposed" to do, she did. She…

Have you found a new doctor yet?

I agree with this. It's not eating one meal a day that's the problem. The fact that your so stressed that you're having a physical reaction is a problem. Wishing you the best.

I also do this for work. It really helps. Pre-log, plan meals for a week, stock your pantry and freezer for success. Rome wasn't built in a day, so keep plugging away and figure out what works best for you. Finally, don't diet. Make life long changes and the weight WILL drop.

My nutritionist is more than chubby. She's still in the obese category. However, I like and will keep her for the following: 1. She became a registered dietitian to "figure it out". She has lost over 150 pounds 2. Since she's lost 150 pound, she obviously has "walked the walk". She knows the excuses, and has practical…

I agree with the Leslie Sansone videos. No coordination needed for the walking in her videos. Get decent shoes to help protect your knees/feet. I hate sweating, so I open the window in the winter/cold days and blast the AC in the summer when I'm on the treadmill. I also have a fan blowing on me. It helps, it really does.…

I like fish, but think seafood is nasty. Scallops, lobster, shrimp, crab, oysters...blech! Pickles (or anything pickled), and mushrooms. I'll also agree with fat free ranch. Low carb tortillas are also gross. Oh yeah, forgot a really big one: WHITE CASTLE! My list of dislikes is pretty long, I won't bore everyone.

I had a similar revelation myself recently. I'm becoming far more focused on health and fitness, and less focused on the scale. I want to improve my times on the treadmill. I want to improve how long I can hold a plank, how many sit ups I can do...and how much I can lift. I'm just beginning weight training.

Cold for the next 48 hours. If it's bothering you after that, see a doctor. No idea what type of stretches will help.

Lowest adult weight: 120. Gained 100 pounds, got down to 185, then bounced back up to 232. Down to 171, then up to 252. On my way back down, currently 202. Every time I got stuck, I quit. Working now on changing my thinking. This is NOT a diet, it's a lifestyle. I've blown through a major milestone though, I've never been…

Seeing patients who can barely move, need 4 people to move them in bed, who have chronic pain because of all the extra weight on their joints, multiple co-morbidity: heart disease, diabetes, etc, etc, etc... I don't want to end up that way. My dad has diabetes, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and has had a…

I'm 5' Feel free to add me.

I agree with the first response that said do anything. Just start. I started with walking. I couldn't do much at first, but now I do 5 miles about 3 times a week, with 3 miles 2-3 days a week. After 50 pounds lost (and still really fat) I just added a weight routine that a trainer at my fitness center set up for me. Just…

You certainly don't have to buy the app. You can just check out the website and get the routine for free. I never did the app. Good luck!

You get out what you put in. Just like if you're going to an aerobics class but barely moving. I do think they are better for a starting fitness point. I feel like the treadmill is working better for me, so I gave my DVD's to my sister, who is just starting her fitness journey.

I'm very, very close to being out of the 200's. Only a few more until I see a 1 as my starting number. I'm down 50 pounds so far. Always looking for new, active MFP friends. Feel free to add me.

When people ask me why I'm STILL doing this after 8 months (and 50 pounds down) I say the same thing, I don't want want to be miserable in my own skin anymore. You look amazing! You really fabulous, and you're line about being miserable in your own skin resonated with me. God bless!

My custom orthotics have done the most good for me. Up until the last few days, I was taking NSAIDS pre-workout, but it's killing my stomach and I'm going to have to go back to the Vicodin pre-workout. Last winter, I did a lot of water aerobics, it was the only exercise that I could do pain free at that time. My treadmill…

That's one of the reasons I love the Enell. The "straps" are so wide there is no digging. I started using Body Glide under my boobs before workouts, regardless of the bra I'm wearing to help with chafing. Honestly, I don't think I'll get it again because I found that Monistat has a product like this available at Target.…
-
^^^^^ YES, YES, and YES!! I recently bought a cheap Danskin for "heavy impact" and there is no comparison to the Enell.

Enell.com It's worth the money Signed, formerly 42DDD Now a 38F. That's right, my band size is smaller, but my cup size went up because I've lost 50 pounds and NO boob.

Yup, that's me too. I'm not a nut case, but an emotion-less zombie. It's weird, and I honestly didn't notice it at first. We were using the pill to time my cycle for fertility treatments and my husband was the one who noticed my odd behavior. Sure enough, several years later when we did IVF and I had do a month one the…

Depo was hell for me. I gained 60 pounds in the year and was very, very depressed. I think it did contribute to a major depressive episode. It took years for my period to return after a year on the shot.

I couldn't agree more! Instead of reading on my breaks, or playing on my cell phone because I'm tired, I walk the halls. If our fitness center is open--I head down there and walk on the treadmill. I eat my lunch/dinner through out the shift, 5 minute here or there, but when I punch out for breaks or take my 15 min. break…

Congrats! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

You are now my hero! Part of my inspiration for trying to finally (stick with) changing my lifestyle is my patients. It breaks my heart to see so many patients who are sick, depressed, and have to take 20, 30 or more daily medications to manage all the health problems they have. The vast majority could be far healthier…

When do you work out? Can you change when you work out so you are working out during a time when your blood sugars tend to be higher? What type of insulin are you on? My husband had to make a lot of adjustments while he was losing weight. He's on a pump, so just humolog. However, years ago when we lost weight together and…
