  • lately it's been 1/2 cup of vanilla bean frozen yoghurt, 1/2 cup chai protein boathouse farms juice, a shot of espresso and a scoop of chocolate protein powder. It's really quick, really yummy and I have a ton of energy after. I have a really hard time eating anything solid the first few hours I'm awake, makes me sick, so…
  • My big shopping trip is split between cash and carry, (like a small scale costco, but way better!) and trader joe's. Produce and dairy from the farmers market. If I just need one or two ingredients I go to safeway, since it is closest. The cash n carry I can buy huge amounts of good quality ingredients for super low…
  • Definitely agree with compression shorts, if you are self conscious, you can just wear regular shorts over them or a running skirt.
  • Shrodinger's cat walks into a bar... and doesn't.
  • I make a 'enchilada casserole' with them about once a week. The first time I made it my husband would NOT believe it was low cal at all, it is really cheesy and creamy. No fixed measurements... but about a cup of both fat free sour cream and cream cheese, a handful of grated cheddar, 2 cans of well rinsed black beans,…
  • Until the past few weeks, I would log every single thing. Now I will leave the odd day blank if it was really bad. We are going through some rl situations that keep life pretty hectic. So if I have a day where I am gone form 7 til 7 and the only chance I had to eat was at Mcdonalds while driving to the hospital, I don't…
  • Over, for the love of all that is right and just, over! (I am one of those weirdos who actually changes it if it is under, I can't help myself. Hotel rooms, offices, friend's houses...)
  • pfft, I don't think it sounds the least bit tacky, I think it sounds great! We know a couple that has a vow renewal every 5 years, they throw a full on wedding. Big white dress, bridesmaids, gift registry... I have to admit that gets old fast. (especially the gift registry, lol). Maybe that was what the person was thinking…
  • Is he a spiteful flirt who generally like to rub your nose in the fact that he flirts with other women? If so, then it would bug me. If it was said as a casual greeting, and he isn't a douche bag in general, why waste the time and energy in getting upset. If it bugs you, ask him to stop, if he refuses to stop, then sure, I…
  • Around here, veggies are the cheapest thing you can buy, I would see if you have a farmer's market in your area, for me they are priced way better than grocery or produce stores. Things like black beans, tilapia, eggs and chickpeas are also really cheap, all high in protein and easy to prepare.
  • It doesn't bother me at all, but my mother in law is horribly allergic to it. The smallest amount she gets nauseated and a serious migraine. A large amount, and it's into the hospital. It really is in so many things these days! I had them over for dinner and it was in the salad dressing! Wasn't a low carb or cal one…

  • I'd go with the longer side swept bangs, way more versatile, and really flattering.
  • If they are fresh, definitely just some garlic butter and grill or broil!
  • That is like asking why isnt every loaf of bread isn't the same price... different ingredients, different quality of ingredients, different aging times and techniques. More work & higher quality ingredients = more money.
  • olive oil cream tea (does that count?) lol
  • I lost all mine a year ago, I highly doubt you are losing for the same reasons though! (toxic poisoning, fun fun!) I was referred to a dermatologist at first, they weren't able to help me while I lost it, unfortunately my issues were a little out of his depth, but he sure helped once it started growing again! He was also…
  • ISFP... kind of scarily accurate description.
  • I can't believe that is only 13 pounds! Awesome work!
  • Buy yourself an epilator! Cheaper longterm than any creams or waxing, or any salon treatments. (and waaay faster than tweezing!). It hurts, it is yanking the hairs out, but it worked way better at reducing future hair growth than waxing ever did for me. (I just ice the area for a minute before hand and dont feel a thing).…

  • This. Although lately life has been so crazy on my bad days I dont even log, simply because I can't even remember what I ate. There is enough in life to beat myself up about, eating over my calories for a couple days is not going to be one of them.
  • Thanks everyone, this is really helping! Because of her esophagus stint, she can have nothing acidic, which I didn't realize was so hard to avoid until now! I spent the morning trying out some of the different shake recipes, cutting down on the sugars and trying to get them tasty enough to tempt her :) You guys are…
  • Thank you! I'm terrible at coming up with recipes, and wasn't having much luck finding high cal ones. (I am the worst internet searcher ever! lol) Thanks, very helpful!!
  • He did refer her to one, but almost everything she suggested makes mom sick. I hadn't thought of fish though, thank you, and that is easy for her to eat! We gave her some halibut last night and she loved it.
  • wait.. men can touch themselves in public?? Nobody better tell my husband that! haha. Love the post, the good things are not given attention nearly often enough!

  • Baking is theraputic to me, (also my job, lol). I try to keep it all at the shop, but if I make something at home I send all the extras to work with my husband. Or if that isn't an option, and he isnt home to scarf them down for me, i throw them away and toss soemthing nasty over them in the garbage. lol. I always feel so…
  • The place I used to donate always brought orange juice, chocolate covered almonds and an apple afterwards. That always worked like a charm for me, I would just pack something like that along if they dont give you any options you are happy with.
  • Too late, it fell out when you ordered it.
  • Yes, at least in my area, we have 3 of them that I can think of. A ton of tea shops on the, especially on the Canadian side, but those aren't 'British' per say, they will have teas from all over the world. (I live right on the border of USA and Canada, between Vanocuver and Seattle, british candy isn't too hard to find in…
