I've been maintaining for over a year now and my approach was to just redo my goals with the maintenance weight. Initially selecting 145 lbs (male, 5'8", 51 yrs) and MAINTAIN and followed the numbers (don't remember what they were). I continued to lose, however, due to the fact that the net calories were always below for…

It looks like you making choices, logging those choices and accepting the choices you've made. It's called living your life.

Update- I tried weighing in every day for the past two weeks and captured the info on the graph below: I also included the Net Cals from the PREVIOUS day just to try to give some context. My target for net cals is 1840. As you can see, there were some pretty good fluctuations in there but at the end of the two weeks, I…

I've always said - If you are thinking about learning to play the guitar, then get Rocksmith. If you are thinking about quitting the guitar, get Rocksmith. I've been toying with the idea of picking up a bass just to try that aspect of the game.

Rocksmith 2014 - with a doubt, the best game/software I have EVER purchased. Simply the best, fastest, easiest way to learn the guitar. Also playing the AC series, currently on Revelations.

I am in maintenance now I used to weigh in once a week - Saturday morning after rising and visiting the bathroom. I would also get out the measuring tape every second week. Recently I read a post from an engineer who offered the idea that more data gets you more accuracy. People talk about fluctuations but if you only…

Liking a lot of the ideas from lynn, roasted veggies sticking to smaller portions should help curb the calories count. As for dessert, I suggest a pumkin or sweet potato pie made with Splenda instead of sugar and poured into ramikins instead of a pie crust to curb the calorie count. I disagree with those that do not log…

I usually have 1-3 cans of Diet Coke / day and had no troubles either losing the weight or maintaining.

Another desk job here... In the beginning, I set my activity level as Sedentary and logged any additional activity (gym workouts, dog walking, mowing lawn, shovelling snow, etc). After 243 days of that, got down to my goal weight of 145. I've since settled down to 142 and been maintaining for about a year now. Currently,…

So many good ones... Pariah dogs and wandering madmen, Barking at strangers and speaking in tongues. I can't remember anything, Can't tell if this is true or dream. Though his mind is not for rent, To any god or government. Nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight, You gotta kick at the darkness til it bleeds…

Yeah, just checked Reports myself. Out of the last 90 days I was under exactly 5 times. MFP has my limit pegged at 43 g (out of a total of 293 g carbs... ). My breakfast banana and lunchtime apple are 43 g sugar right there.

Started in the dirt as a teenager on a YZ-175 (yama-ding-ding-ding!). Gave it up shortly after I got married. Started riding again when gas hit $1.46/litre in 2006 (and my F-150 is an XLT which I think stands for Xtra Large Tank). So, I was looking for a commuter bike to get back into riding and found a used Honda Magna…

I've got suggestions for an 800 cal meal but not an 800 cal day... Like others, I can understand the goal just not the methods. A 50 yr old male, I started at 205 lbs and it took me 243 days to get to 145 and I did that at ~1700 cals/day (plus exercise cals). I just don't understand why such a radical cal deficit.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - it's not cheating if you log it. Eat it, log it and live your life.

According to Wiki... Clinical trials do not support claims that Garcinia camobogia is an effective weight-loss aid. A meta-analysis found a possible small, short-term weight loss effect (under 1 kilogram). However, side effects—namely hepatotoxicity—led to one preparation being withdrawn from the market.
