I think you're right, it can be a motivator but how often is today going to be like every day? Every day for five weeks?

I've said it before I'll say it again (for what seems like the 100th time) - It's not cheating if you log it. You bite it, you write it - it's you living your life, making decisions and accepting the consequences of those decisions. If you don't log it then, as others have said, you are only cheating yourself.

My current canine companion, Titus, was a rescue dog who had been in the shelter for 6 months before he found us. Had his DNA checked (at DNAmydog.com) as there are stupidheads in parts of this country who have enacted legislation/bylaws making him not welcome. The results came back with American Staffordshire Terrier…

I like your plan. I have reached my maintenance goal, in 2012, and have since been to Walt Disney World three times for vacations. When I look at Reports and look at the weight graph for that period, the line is mostly flat except for these peaks when I returned from WDW. the funny thing is, they remind of an EKG and the…

I read somewhere that the pittie is the largest dog that owners consistently let sleep in their beds. We have a rescued Am Staff (picture is in my profile photos) that is 70 lbs of love and is quite the snuggle-bunny. He usually starts out as the "hot dog", lying in between us and not taking up much room at all. By…

Checked Health Canada recommendation and went for the middle of their recommended range. That was 145 lbs and I overshot a little after reaching but settled in at 142. That is now my base weight and my goal to main but I expect/accept flucuations that will put me anywhere in the 140-145 range.

Two data points do not make a trend. There can be several reasons why there is an increase (or decrease) from one day to the next. Some, but certainly not all, include water retention and undigested food. If you are going to weigh yourself daily, you should wait until you have several data points before observing the…
