Honestly I am in the same boat. I can't even touch my toes. Everyone that says try yoga already feels like they are more flexible then me, but it does work. Right now i just try to carve out 10 minutes in my day for stretching. every day, I push a little further and endure a deeper stretch. I will be able to do more with…

hang in there! Your body is suddenly being asked to change. at first it may take awhile to get on board. As previously mentioned types of calories and components of food can alter weight loss. I can get a 300 calorie sandwich from Wendy's but is is not going to have the same value as chicken breast and brown rice that I…

bump- I want to know more!

i love chicken picatta or shrimp scampi. My hubby love the grill so when he wants to cook he does tri tip and baked potatoes. we both cook great salmon too.

you are doing great! isn't it amazing what you can do in 2 months once you get started? Great job!

fat free greek yogurt. fresh fruit and veggies (as many as i like and can get on my budget) hummus pita chips chicken ground turkey low fat cheeses milk small pieces of dark chocolate individually wrapped (dove) whole wheat tortillas

give it a few days. your body is probably freaking out with all the changes. If you are walking and working out it will stimulate the gi track to produce peristalsis and you will be back to normal in no time. The biggest thing holding it back would be water so continue to increase that. I drink about 20- 8oz glasses a day…

^ What she said. Don't increase your work out but especially in the early months maintain what your were doing. As you know when your body starts changing drastically you may not feel up to a run but you can still do lots of exercises and enjoy walking.

unless you got sweaty and short of breath, i'd say you may have burned 50 calories. When I have a minimal effort work out or when i am working at the hospital and spend much of the day on my feet, i log it as walking 2 mph for about 1/4 to 1/2 of the time i actually did it

whole grain pita pizza loaded with veggies. salad fixins and greek yogurt with fruit and granola. etc. By being limited in cooking it is a challenge. mini bagels with non fat cream cheese and smoked salmon, Baked potatoes in the microwave with cheese and broccoli? Green giant has some great veggie mixes that I use as a…

I tend to get the "wanders" before the snacking when bored, so now i take myself for a walk or do some jumping jacks. If i still need to have something, I chug a glass of cold water and that usually helps me stay in check. For my weakest moments i keep healthy snacks such as veggies, pita chips and hummus or dole no sugar…

I dunno if it helps or hurts but i do know watch the sodium when you use it.

I lost 17 and have the final 10 to 20 to go and seem to be stagnant myself. the motivation has gone and the stress has gone up significantly. I'd love to hear what others have to say

I love fresh berries and banana's with a smudge of melted chocolate or nutella. when i want to bake my default is angel food cake or adding apple sauce to recipes that require oil. Or make what you love and just eat less of it. The mini muffin pan was the best investment I ever made because the bite size muffins are always…

Pre cook! I tend to take a weekend day (or any day i have some time) and make ahead. sub in ground turkey for beef and make friends with your crock pot. Sub in whole grains for rice and pasta and always keep healthy quick snacks. I love hard boiled eggs and I always keep a chicken breast cooked in the fridge that I can…

you look amazing. what is your secret?

start with a salad, no dressing and have water unsweetened ice tea or a beer if you really want it. Then enjoy small bites of things you love. A slice of pizza isn't horrible, it's the second and third slices that kill your day. Enjoy what you want just plan your day around that meal. I know when my hubby and I drive to…

I'm guessing from your picture your little one is pretty young? try finding a work out dvd or two that your can incorporate your baby into. there are specialty stuff like mommy and me or you can try including your baby as you do push ups give her a kiss, if older put in zumba and encourage her to wiggle around as you work…

Tell your girlfriend to try the no salt added tomatoes. It really helps keep it in check and control the flavors.

can't wait to try!

cooked or uncooked? When i have raw shrimp i cover them with garlic powder and Cayenne (with a little olive oil.) grill and serve in lettuce wraps with a creamy guacamole (homemade with tomatoes, garlic, onion and diced avocado.) super yummy. If already cooked- heat and serve with green giant carrots, spinach and navy…

there are many different flavors of coffee out there. try a lighter roast and flavored roast or even coffee with chicory (my favorite). also try adding less than 1/4 cup milk to your coffee. it smooths out the acid taste some brews have and doesn't alter your day much. I haven't used sugar in years

My Valentines Day could have really sucked. The hubby was working (fireman on a 24 hour shift) and I had failed my first test of my last nursing semester. I was angry, lonely and frustrated. After ranting with my classmates (who also failed), I decided to keep my promise and pick up pizza for the hubby and his co workers.…

you are having about 4- 8 oz glasses a day which is great but as you said you should drink more. I just bought large refillable water bottles and make sure to drink before I eat. if i feel hungry i drink a glass of water. It adds up fast. Since you feel full and bloated with more water perhaps you should try varying the…

i have snacks (whole grains like pita and humus or triscuit and string cheese) they are easy to eat on the go and low in sodium. That being said I also struggle with meeting 1200. My hubby says if i have a salad use the dressing to up calories and or have a yogurt for dessert in the evening. the secret is most of these…

your body adjusts and compensates for pregnancy as you know so I can say that my nursing textbooks haven't said that but if you have any doubts ask your doctor. I know there are pregnant marathon runners that have been running before their pregnancy and will continue to until their balance is thrown off. your body…
