yarwell, I suspect littlekitty3 is confused about what ketosis is and in fact like most people who have been misled by the high carb mantra actually thinks it means ketoacidosis, which is very dangerous... but not much to do with ketosis.

lisawinning, low-carb diets are not about lifting your protein levels. You should be lifting your fat levels. Protein should remain the same as it was prior to changing to low-carb... unless this was too much already. Protein is not a fuel. Fat or carbs are the two fuel sources.
