I have a don't know what my ratio is but I have friends of MFP, both men and women, who give me great support. I think MFP appeals more to women. Some women on here I have noticed don't want male friends on MFP. I can respect that but It think at the same time they are cutting themselves out support from a good base of…

It's really about how you feel about yourself. Not what other do. People might think I am not "hot" but I don't care. There is at least one person who does and that is all that really matters to me. Don't what to be the guy who brings this post down. It's intentions were good.

Some "experts" are picking my Packers this year. I really don' t know though. There is always some parity in the league. So I am just hoping my Packers win it all.

Actually it was a fitness question originally. I feared it would become a political punching bag and it has. If I do get a weapon I just want it for safety. My ultimate hope is when I do carry, is I never have to use it. Like I said, my area has a history not too far in the past. The a cop was shot up in his patrol car as…

I didn't intend for this to be a political discussion. Was really seeking advice. Thanks for the suggestions all.

It works a lot better if it is early in the morning for our family. Too much going on in the evening with really young kids (5 and under).

Wow, you basically lost a high schooler. Well done. Great dedication.

Same with me. Although I have a decent base of people. Always looking to add more. I try to encourage you and maybe have a funny (or not funny depending on my humor) joke or two. I like to be a smart *ss now and then. Please feel free to add me as well. Whatever your journey is.

So young. A lot of life left. I don't know him personally but he must have had some serious mental health issues that pushed him over the edge.

4-6, most times 5.

Some people will nitpick every little thing. Just be healthy.

Pretty much what I think. As long as you aren't a consistent marathoner I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just invest in really good running shoes.

I am trying to lose weight so I don't need a protein powder that is overly complex. I was using Body Fortress Super Advanced Chocolate. Now I am using Cytosport Whey Protein Chocolate. I like the Cytosport a little bit better but they are both good. Again, I am not into a super complicated diet right now. Just want to get…

P90X Pull-up bar Stretch bands Heart rate monitor I don't buy a lot online but that is the most recent. I am usually not this one dimensional.

We get a $20 reimbursement through BCBS if we go to a gym 8 times or more a month. Motivators like this would be great to have on a health plan. Would motivate others (myself included) to make better choices.

5' 11", 36 year old. Started at 261.2 in February now I am down 232 as of this morning. Hoping to be down to 200 by Labor Day and my goal weight of 180 by the end of the year.

Dawn: It does take grease, out of your way. Maybe fat too. :)

The Atkins diet. Yes you might lose weight but it appears to have long term health effects.

Way to go. I am looking to lose around the same amount of weight. Thanks for posting.

I am on day 46 of P90X. I always drank low-fat chocolate milk after my workouts (1 cup). This week I switched to chocolate almond milk and I have never been so sore. Even more so than week 1 of P90X. I am going back to chocolate milk TONIGHT.

Used to be tomatos for me. I still cannot eat it in huge chunks or slices. I know of their benefits so I try to but them up really small in a salad. The other thing is cottage cheese.

Completed Day 32. Add me if you like. I have a long journey. I have over 50+ pounds to lose. Already lost 15.

I am currently doing P90X. I actually do like a lot of vegetables but I am trying to watch my carbs, especially last month. I do a lot of spinach salads with fat free feta and red onion. Some fat free balsamic vinaigrette to taste. With the feta I come out on top with protein. Here is the quick and dirty on the P90X…

If you are trying to lose weight I would give the edge to calories. For you long term health you want to keep an eye on you macros.

I use journey. But it makes me think of Journey the band.

Tons of respect for you. You worked pretty hard. Before you started this journey, not to put words in your mouth, but if you were like me you didn't really work out and just ate whatever you wanted. I always think that a bad day of working out (meaning you feel like you had a hard time getting though the workout) means you…

Something to feel good about.

This isn't a sprint. It isn't even a marathon for me. This is a journey that has no end. I have had 3 big weight losses of 30+ pounds. And each time I fall back because I fall into my old habits and think "I have arrived". I am looking at my relationship with food like an addiction. I think that is what is going to be most…
