I know it doesn’t fit the mold of low carb but after every workout I slam 1 cup of low-fat chocolate milk within 30 minutes of completion. It’s the perfect recovery drink for me. I’m sore the next day but I am rarely in severe pain.

I plan on signing up Friday. I looked at last year's results and I will probably be one of the last people crossing the finish line. No big deal. I want to get my first 10k out of the way.

Had a mullet up until 2007.

I learned to take a quick peek at one of my MFP friends who was doing something like this. I really don't know how to address it but as for now I am not commenting on their post.

Back when I was in college a girl asked me out to coffee. I told her I didn't like coffee. I can't believe I was so dumb.

I never thought of peeling them and then freezing them. I hope to remember that.

"A" bad food choice isn't that bad. It's more the quantity or more importantly the frequency of them. It's better to look at food through the Michi's Ladder. The more you have foods on the top two tier, the better off your food intake will be. If someone is doing right 90% of the time, they are probably going to have…

The completion is 90% of your victory. Just keep working hard and try to improve your time. Good luck and congrats!

First time I have heard about it. If it doesn't come from you doctor or nutritionist, I would think it is probably bad advice. Also barring you don't have a medical condition.

Very good. I think I pretty much agree with it all. I like to think that I can eat more so I can workout more.

I saw this earlier and posted it on my blog. I have always thought the BMI was a good ballpark for health but I knew there had to be a more accurate method. I would love to see more research on this but what I saw in the article sounds pretty much on point.

It seems to help me from getting DOMS. I still get sore but not REALLY sore. Not a license to drink more than a cup. Make sure it is lowfat as well. Drink within a half hour of working out.

I have had mine for about 3 weeks. A couple night I have even gone for a late evening walk just so i could get over 10,000 steps for the day on my non workout days. I wear it on me almost all the time.

Try to give him choices. If he doesn't like the choices I would put him out on his own. If it is a problem for you, you need to take care of you. Try to sit down with him and explain this to him. If he is on his own he may start coming back to you or find another alternative.

My wife and I always wanted two kids but the second one came earlier than we would have liked. Although considering they are 16 months apart in age they play really well together and have a close bond. It was pretty hard the first 3 years but they are really great together and MOSTLY treat each other really well. Both are…

I figure it is better to have knee/hip/foot problems than a triple bypass at some point. I am being snarky here but those problem, while irritating, have got to be "better" than major health conditions later in life.

I have been there as well. You are not alone. My MFP friends have been there for me.

I am sure that awful things like this can motivate some people to start working out. I think that is an extremely low percentage however. I feel you catch more flies with honey rather than vinegar. People who shame probably have some other defect, mental or otherwise.

I set my alarm for 4 AM. My Fitbit One has a silent alarm which works wonders and actually gives me interesting data on how I sleep. I am usually out the door for my run at 4:45-5:00. The biggest thing for me is getting enough sleep. If I am in bed by 10 PM, not necessarily asleep at that time, I usually don't hit the…

I don't drink a whole lot to begin with. Maybe once a month. I would love to have a glass of red with dinner sometimes but I can't go through a bottle that fast. My wife won't drink it because it knocks her out even if she has one glass. I eb and flow with my weight loss but I seem to be losing more often than not. I would…

Great job. I can't wait to be "overweight" too. Good luck with the rest of your journey.

I use Mixade which is an Aldi knock off to Crystal Light. Fruit, Cherry Limeade and Grape are my favorites. I put it in about 20 ounces of water and it still tastes fine. I work in downtown Minneapolis where our water tastes horrible. Otherwise I wouldn't need it.

Is this taken from an actual study or something?

I so thought of this as I was paging through. Nice. "I may have puked my guts out, but I never puked my heart out."

You're right, it isn't about revenge but taking care of yourself. Getting "revenge" however is just icing on the cake. Excellent work.

Good cultural calls on "Jaws" and "Saturday Night Live but most historic in our year was the Fall of Saigon.

Love Dave Ramsey's FPU and MFP. We have made great strides to change our family tree financially, now my wife and I are working on it physically.
