  • Mine was "You Need a Budget" software. Probably from all the Dave Ramsey items I look up. I actually went to McDonald's last night and was only 6 calories over my MFP calories goal. Even if it was a McDonald's ad to my right it is still my responsibility with what I put into my body. If people can't overcome an ad with…
  • It's hard to know without knowing what you're eating now but one rule is that if you are eating more food with more protein.
  • Pretty much agree with this.
  • If I am being honest even in the eyes of the a health and fitness site, it would be the Seafood Sensation. It isn't available at all Subways but it is GLORIOUS! Otherwise if I can't get that it is the Steak and Cheese. The responsible choice I make is chicken breast or turkey. It's okay but not as great as the first ones I…
  • Honestly, I would be a weirded out and not know how to respond. When I started dating my wife, it was pretty much expected that I was going to pop the question. I can't say this is how every guy feels but is is how I would feel. I have no idea what your boyfriend is like so it is hard to gauge other than how I would feel.…
  • Thanks all. This helps a lot.
  • We lived in Houston TX and didn't like being away from friends and family. So the upper Mid-West is where we will remain. But we would love to live in Colorado. My wife dad's side grew up for a time in Colorado. I have been there twice and absolutely love it. So beautiful, the people are pretty nice like in the Mid-West.…
  • arosegeo I grew up LOVING Marvel Comics but dating a female Thor? It confuses me so. Also the fact that I am married my wife would never give me a "hall pass" period for any woman. Not even a gender bending comic book character from my childhood which would cause me to question a lot of things. I'm so confused,...
  • Just had another thought. Sometimes sunlight is the best disinfectant. They do this again, pull out your phone and get them on camera. Post their address in the video. Hopefully people don't go overboard and post death threats or anything. But if it goes viral the media will pick up on it. That might get them to stop as…
  • Sorry this is happening. It has to be disheartening. I can't believe people would be so cruel. Don't know your route but maybe try to avoid their house. Otherwise do it with pride and and get a shirt that says "Haters are going to hate". For everyone of these jerks there are 10 people like me, losing weight, cheering you…
  • I heard about the son Gangnam Style about 3 weeks ago. (Yes, I am behind on the trends) I have listened to it everyday since at least 3-4 times.
  • While Super Size Me is somewhat eye opening the one thing that bothers me is they never really discuss that it was the people choosing to eat the way they do. At my worst I was 270 lbs. I am now 228. Still a ways to go but I am making progress. I didn't get that way I did because of the food industry's crafty marketing or…
  • Aldi is a great place. Nothing in perfect. Some of their produce is sketchy and but their meat I don't seem to mind. I try to tell some of our friends about it who think it is weird but once you walk them through it and point out things they fall in love too.
  • My bad choices. Lack of an active lifestyle and poor eating habits.
  • Some of mine are local. But my closest MFP friends, other than my sister-in-law, are several hundred miles from me typically. Would love to someday but I will have to figure out how at some point. Hopefully I can find some more locals too. But I am a pretty easy MFP friend to get along with.
  • Added you. My MFP friends have been a great resource. wolfehound22 is one of the best ones.
  • I would agree with wolfe. Don't be afraid to stop and/or modify. It may take a while. Watch out for Plyo with knees as well. It is a beast. Many times Tony Horton suggests moves that you can do to modify and if you have issues for certain parts of the body.
  • The problem with this email was he/she talked about the IMAGE she was presenting. Yes, it does talk about her health but at the same time talks about how she is a bad role model for being fat. How do we know her as a mother? Wife? Member of the community? Being fat doesn't make you a bad person. That is how this email came…
  • My wife got an into with Abblasen (more commonly known as the CBS News Sunday Morning show theme song). Then went into the Prince of Denmark's March (aka Trumpet Voluntary). Our church just had installed a new pipe organ. I was never was a big fan of traditional music for a wedding but when that trumpet hit with the organ…
  • I have found a lot of great people on MFP.
  • Well done! I am hoping to graduate from Obese to just Overweight by the end of the year. But congrats on your goal. That is fantastic.
  • That's not bad. That's my real name. :)
  • My wife always knew what we wanted for a son's name but we had two girls. We would have chosen Samuel.
  • I feared losing my hair when I was younger, now I see it as a benefit. One less thing I have to take care of when getting ready in the morning.
  • [/quote] Delicious yet kind a creepy that a bag of chips has arms.
  • Ditto!
  • I am a relocated cheesehead from Northern Wisconsin. Living in the Twin Cities. Wisconsin has kicked butt pretty much since I moved her in 2008 so the Minnesotans have been quiet. Add me if you like as well. Go Pack! (Brewers with a wild card shot?)
  • I basically started eating responsibly and working out just before September. Looking at my history it stands like this as of yesterday. Me: 10 LNS: 1 No perfect but pretty close. The LNS snacking I did on junk food was with chips (a weakness of mine) and salsa but I did measure it out.
