you can add me as a friend, i have that much to lose, however i'm setting my goals at 20 lbs increments. Two years ago, I lost 34 lbs, and for some reason, I let that all gain back. So I still have my original weight to lose. This time it seems to be a lot harder than I remembered. I'm not doing any fancy diet, just trying…

That, is great news!

The History of Calorie Counting People haven't been counting calories forever (though some days it may feel as if you have). The idea became popular around the turn of the 20th century, according to Jonny Bowden, PhD, CNS, a board-certified nutritionist and author of Living the Low Carb Life: Choosing the Diet that's Right…

well regardless of her opinion and what she believes, calorie counting has only made me AWARE! I'm a snacker, and a junk food fiend...well at least I used to be... i'm really trying to behave...as well as counting out...making me work harder at making my body the potential is has to be... :::sigh::: We all do must what we…

You can create your own cardiovascular activity (exercise) and put in your Net Caloric burn. :) (if you're wearing a HRM), I think it would be hard to estimate that activity.

Yes, each level for 10 days...

I hear you and understand, as another reply mentioned, you're probably holding on to weight due to changes especially if your exercising as much as you mentioned. One thing I was doing was overestimating calorie burn. There is a lot of information out there for gross calories and net calories... The calories you see at the…

The only thing that will stop you, is yourself. You already know this... so just take a deep breath, keep breathing, and make yourself move. It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you can get your heart rate up where it needs to be, and warm up those muscles. How much, is up to you and what results you want to see. Push…

Well, and I know this isn't bad, but we've moved to Hawaii, and it is not available here. Probably a good thing for my hips... LOL

I really miss Chipotle, tasty...and I even learned how to eat it without the sour cream... just doubled up on the salsa... and lots of black beans. Yummy! I liked to get the whole bowl and split it for lunch and dinner, then i didn't feel any guilt over the calories :))

Thanks for responding, and Skarlet , thanks for that link, it really made sense. :)

That is awesome, i hope you are proud of yourself, especially when you can see noticeable changes. Keep up the good work!

Text book blood pressure is 120/80, with text book heart rate at 80-100. So i'm thinking, you're ok. The only time we starting worrying about heart is if the heart rhythm is not normal, or if the heart rate is sustained at higher levels, 140's and higher for longer periods of time. As long as your recovery heart rate comes…

That's lovely!

I still use liquid stevia (non flavored) in my morning tea, and for hot oatmeal, I use just a bit of brown sugar with organic vanilla. Makes it just as sweet as I need it. For any and everything else, I just try to stay away from unneeded sugar, like baking cookies, which I really love to do, but don't need to. Good luck…

i'm really glad this was posted. I've been working out the last two weeks, steadily increasing in strength and cardio as well as staying at or slightly under my calorie goals...and just weighed myself, and i've gained four pounds. Now I still have much muscle soreness and of course I can see some swelling, where I fell…

Hello Fellow RNs! I'm in transition from Houston to Oahu Hawaii, and while I'm still waiting on my Hawaiian License I've decided to loose some of the weight that I've gained over the last four years. I'm currently still in that stage that everything is hurting... I'm sure it will change soon enough. Though yesterday I fell…

Because I'm not as physically fit as I want to be and have a long way to go before I'll get there...I am going to do the 30-day easy squat challenge. :)
