  • ok guys! a little late, but i finally started 30ds today! i was really afraid to for some reason! i had been doing nmtz and thought 30ds would be harder and was already feeling very challenged with nmtz but to my delight 30ds wasn't harder in fact i found it a lot easier especially since it's only 20 minutes!! why didn't…
  • you can also make a balsamic vinegar reduction. just put a good amount in a saucepan, heat to boiling stirring constantly for about 5 minutes or so (you might have to play with the time before you get it just right) then let it cool. it will thicken to a syrup consistency and will be so sweet you'll be amazed. it's great…
  • i did it too! was totally good yesterday and right on track with my calories and then i hit the wine and got into the christmas chocolate that i- no kidding - stashed in the garage so i wouldn't see it. yeah....out of sight is apparently not out of mind cuz i trekked out into the garage in my jammies and gorged on…
  • i've been doing nmtz and recently got 30ds. i watched it the other day and have to say, i'm a bit intimidated. i don't do high impact and it looks like it could be a little hard on my knees. what do you guys think?
  • there are so many times i feel this way! the truth is that this thing takes time and over that period of time you will literally have many ups and downs! on my journey i have been amazed at drastic fluctuations day to day and discouraged by plateaus that go on for months! you have to take a step back, be proud of what you…
  • commonly referred to as "gluten intolerance". it is caused by the body's reaction with gluten, a glycoprotein that is found primarily in wheat, as well as barley and rye. When a celiac's digestive tract is exposed to gluten, the immune system cross-reacts with the small bowel tissue and creates a highly inflammatory…
  • i plan to force myself to think about my jiggly butt and fat tummy and the regret i will inevitably feel! i'm sure it won't stop me completely but maybe just maybe it will prevent me from eating 10 cookies instead of 1
  • on sundays, i measure out little snack bags of 100-calorie natural almonds and raising. i keep a bag in my purse and have one handy at my desk for that 3:30 hunger pang! i also really love cliff kid zbars 0 they're around 100 calories and aren't tiny as some of the other 100 calorie bars.
  • Oh wow! i don't know if I could do that one! I would be one cranky chick on the 500 calorie days! Glad it's working for you though!
  • Got me a measuring tape! I did my waist a few minutes ago. 30 inches! Yikes that seems like a lot!
  • I'm not sure I trust my heart rate monitor. It's a "Mio Motiva Petite" and it's not the kind you strap around your chest, it's just on my wrist. Once or twice a week I'd say I feel extra hungry and low energy. Mostly I like to eat because I like food though!
  • I'm with you! Are we supposed to do it every day?
  • i'm stuck too and feel like i need to shake it up! what is a ketogenic diet?
  • I'm in, but I don't measure. Should I get a tape measure? What's the best way to measure? Waist at the smallest part and hips at the largest part?
  • ooo i'm down for jm 30ds come january! right now i'm doing her nmtz and it's fantastic!!!
  • Hi Girls! I'm 5'6", my start weight was 185. I still have 20 or so to go. Question - how many calories are you eating per day? I can't quite seem to find the right number and lately my weight loss is SUPER slow. MFP says 1200 but a lot of people on here say to eat more. What works for you guys? Thanks and I'm happy about…
  • Around 370 according to mfp. my heart rate monitor says more like 500 but i go by mfp

  • your mind is a powerful thing. use it to re-focus those emotions. guilt is a waste of time because you are focusing your energy on something that you cannot change after the fact. why fret and torture yourself over something you can do nothing about? move forward. next time, force yourself to think and not feel - think to…
  • Usually I just go for the sides like stuffing, potatoes and cauliflower with cheese sauce (i know-not traditional but we grew up with it so I LOVE it!) but this year, I bought a Tofurkey "roast" and a tub of Tofurkey "giblet gravy" I'm not sure how that will be. Anyone ever try the Tofurkey stuff?
  • i'm 43 and remember being told 'wait till you turn 40...it'll be so hard to lose weight'. swear to god - the second i turned 40 and BAM it's soooo much harder. i remember being able to lose weight with minimal effort now it's like monumentally difficult and the weight loss is so slow! for what it's worth, the thing that's…
  • hungry girl is awesome! she has a website and a show on one of the food channels. i recently bought her book '200 under 200'. as the title suggests, the recipes are all under 200 calories which is great for that eat small meals every few hours thing. so far everything i've tried from it is FANTASTIC! she uses laughing cow…
  • ahhhh....my people! i too would've hit my goal long ago if it weren't for wine. just sitting here thinking about what to drink tonight in fact! i tried some of those skinnygirl drinks and - YUCK  . has anyone found any lower calorie alternatives?
  • Broby - well said! I have to admit i sort of ignore the sodium thing. I feel like ive given everything else up and my blood pressure is fine.....perhaps its the culprit though...?
  • Thanks for the responses! This is the first time ive posted and i already feel supported and motivated! Jr- i agree - i recently bumped up my workouts b/c i was on this HORRIBLE plateau for like 4 months! I doubled my cardio on the weekends and i think thats made a difference, but i dont think i could do much more than…
