I did about 2 weeks of completely vegan and 80% raw, I felt fabulous, no headaches, slept soundly, and more , but then the christmas potlucks and such began and I've struggled ever since to eat well, still vegetarian but not completely vegan, but I'm hoping to get back into it. let me know if you have other specific…

here are a couple, if you have a food processor, doesn't have to be expensive or fancy curried noodles: shred 1/2 small butternut squash with the processor or spirooli, or even vegetable peeler drizzle with olive oil and add 1/4 tsp sea salt in a small bowl combine 2 tbs shredded coconut, 1/2 tsp curry powder, 1/4 tsp…

yes, you should be doing core exercises. this supports your body and protects your back. just because you may not see the results until you lose weight you will benefit from the improved strength.

i love tea too!! have you tried fennel? or licorice spice? they are so naturally sweet, great for a dessert! and I really like roibos (sometimes called red tea)
-
thanks! I'll check those out!!

absolutely the best nutrition for the least money! and you can add any spices, veggies or anything you want/have.

I've been vegetarian (mostly vegan) for 2 years and I currently have my first cold since I switched. I was definitely sick at least twice every year. I feel more energetic, more postive, fewer headaches, and no infections of any sort. One annoying problem is that I was hoping my chronic hives would go away, but they…

definitely breathing deeply and fully exhaling helps. I also get them if I've eaten too soon before exercise.

I love so many of the ideas in this thread!!! I like adding fennel to smoothies with strong tasting greens like kale, sweetens it with very few calories I also love using parsley!

here are some ideas, 1 take some time to journal about your journey so far, your fears, and your goals. write your goals put them where you will see them often - bathroom mirror, fridge, your desk etc 2 reflect on what will happen to you if you don't start this healthier journey? weight gain? diabetes? what ailments run in…

go to Clean Eating Magazine and search Chocolate Orange Cake I've made it many times, it is fantastic! there may be a lot of ingredients you don't have but I guarantee you will use them up making more cakes!

Sorry to hear about what happened! I looked at your diary and it looks like you are doing a pretty good job so far. do you have a blender? you can add lots of greens to fruit smoothies to boost nutrition. parsley is my favourite, but spinach definitely adds the least flavour. you can also make great smoothies with carrots…

I love green smoothies! today I made "ice cream" frozen bananas and pumpkin pie filling! so yummy!! I also make tomato sauce (a few tomatoes, a red pepper, a celery stalk, garlic, onion and basil - no sugar added, no salt, just let it simmer down the consistancy you want) I've also made chocolate pudding with avocado, an…

I've made a big mistake over the past year by paying attention to my TOTAL calories instead of my NET calories. I have not lost weight except the first month. So now I'm making sure my net calories stay above 1200. my advice is make sure you undestand what you are doing!

I like reading the success stories.

awesome!!!! thanks for the tips and it's great to see that healthy choices work, no gimmicks or starving needed!

this one is great!!! I've made it many times! http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Search-Results.aspx?recipeQuery=chocolate%20cake I don't think it's a good idea to bake with diet pop. Aspartame is not intended to be heated, you could try splenda instead.

You can check with your doctor or find a really trustworthy website to find out how many calories to add each trimester, and which foods to be sure to add. you can set your own goals on mfp. best of luck!!!

What an achievement!!! You look so strong and healthy!! thanks for inspiring the rest of us!!!!!

It really depends on your goals, are you trying to burn a ton of calories and maintain your strength or are you trying to build strength and maintain your cardio? whichever is a higher priority should be first while you are fresher. You might want to consider alternating days. one day only cardio, the next warmup and…

agreed!! deal with yor contract issues but don't let it get in the way of your goals!

smoothies! you can add oatmeal and fruit, add yogurt if you life, I usually have greens, fruit and hemp seeds you can also add white beans to any fruit smoothies to turn it into a meal - just make sure you cook them yourself, canned beans have salt added and taste aweful! good luck!

Try to let go of that guilt and just allow yourself to make better choices as often as possible. nobody is perfect. try to incorporate lots of fresh, nutrient rich foods, this will be very satisfying for your body. the less hungry you feel the more willpower you will have. and it feel more positive to think about all the…

This is from a website i found http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/vitamind Sources of Vitamin D Food Very few foods in nature contain vitamin D. The flesh of fatty fish (such as salmon, tuna, and mackerel) and fish liver oils are among the best sources [1,11]. Small amounts of vitamin D are found in beef liver, cheese, and…
