  • Happy Wednesday, everyone! Last night I did 15 min stretching after my Turbo Fire workout because I am horrible about not taking time to stretch....it was a nice addition to my night :)
  • Big Ten, Enjoy those dirty Huskers.
  • I'm a Mizzou Tiger, baby!!!! Woo!
  • 1. What is the #1 thing/saying/thought/whatever that motivates YOU? 'The faster you run, the faster you're done' and 'You are an athlete and athletes don't quit' 2. What are your plans for the Labor Day Holiday? Tailgating for the first home football game (woohoo!!) and taking my kiddos swimming before the pools close for…
  • Fage 2% Plain Yogurt, Vanilla Whey Protein and Chopped Pecans. Yummmmm
  • Today was my first lean gains fast - I loved it!!!! So glad I found this thread :)
  • So what is your BMR though? And what are you hoping to lose? How often are you weighing? If you have been doing this and not seeing results, it's time to troubleshoot. If you are getting fruits and veggies as well as the portion controlled entrees, what are the fruits? Fruits are definitely not bad but depending on how…
  • What you need to know is: how many calories you are taking in and what your BMR to know how to many calories you are burning. If you know these two things, you will know what you need to do to create a deficit, which is what is required to lose weight. Getting your nutrition on point will be a great place to start and then…
  • If 3.5 miles is easy, a 5k will get you used to the experience of a race and will allow you to push yourself for a really good speed (since you know you can cover the distance). After that, I would work in a long run once a week, 5 miles, then 6, and so on until you feel like you are ready for a 10K, which is 6.2 miles. If…
  • You rock!!!! thanks for sharing!
  • Soooooo good! Plus I got a sample of 6 packets of their protein powder which I haven't tried yet but if it's anything like the rest of their products, I'm sure I'll be hooked!
  • Agreed!! Me too. I would not change the pregnancy or the fact that I breastfed but boy, it was rough on them. Thanks for posting this :)
  • Great thought! Thank you for sharing!! Have a great Friday
  • I definitely would (will)- I was a DD when I was pregnant with my second baby. Earlier this year, I went to the gyno because I had a little lump on one and she told me "This is just what it feels like under the fat tissue that was there." So I'm now a 32B. I would get back to my 'original factory setting' of a C cup, lift…

  • It could be that you need to be a shining example - let him see you succeeding without pressuring him into it too and he may just follow your lead. When you are inspiring, the people in your life who need to lose weight will often see that and ask for your help and start to change too. That's been my experience at least…
  • I actually try to log everything at the beginning of the day, planning what I"ll have so I can see the ratios, where i need to modify because there's too much sodium, etc. If I don't have the time in the morning to get this done then I log before I eat it for the same reason, because sometimes it makes me see that…
  • Welcome aboard! Sorry about your knee injury, I am sure that makes things harder. As for your question, it depends - how much change would you like to see and in what measurement? Weight loss? Inches lost? Progress is a very relative term and the best way to measure it is to know where you've started and where you'd like…
  • True - I get so excited when a new podcast is up; it's like Christmas!
  • I actually have the Mighty Maple and the White Chocolate Wonderful at my local Walmart.
  • Here's the original post I was talking about (also, it is my blog from last week) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/289526-12-month-progress-pictures
  • I have read a lot of them - my favorites have been 'The Body Fat Solution' by Tom Venuto and 'The Female Body Breakthrough' by Rachel Cosgrove because both of them come with lots of years of experience with clients and lots of logical, sound advice.
  • No contest. Peanut Butter & Co. - they have an amazing line of Peanut butters: White Chocolate Wonderful, Dark Chocolate Dreams, Bee's Knees, Mighty Maple, Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. Careful though, they are so good you will probably end up eating it from the jar.
  • I lost a cup size and went down 2 band sizes from 36C to 32B. I miss that but it was worth it for the rest of the loss :)
  • The funniest part is the stomach is still what I fret about all the time - I'm glad I'm being more critical than others. Was worried that when I was at the pool in that bikini people were thinking it looked flabby!
  • For Abs, I don't do a whole lot of exercise, my abs have seen the most improvement from cleaning up my diet - like they say 'Abs are built in the kitchen, not in the gym' but I do have stability exercises like different modifications of plank/side planks and the prone jackknife on a stability ball and some russian twists…
  • Thank you all soooo much for all your words of encouragement, it was incredibly, incredibly hard to post these but now I am glad that I did :)
  • I've been there numerous times along my journey and I've learned that the best way to break it is to change the way I see it. Instead of seeing it as failure or backslide, I see it as a chance to do some troubleshooting and learn my body better. I was at 150 on June 4th and then have been bumping between 152-155 all the…
  • I make this too - I blend it up with an immersion blender so it is batter consistency and then top with natural PB - yum!!
  • I'm 5'8 and I thought that my goal weight was 140. I am at 150 now and can fit into a size 4 dress - I have been working with lots of weights too though so the weight comes in a smaller, tighter package  I am not sure that I will make it down to 140 without looking too thin so I am aiming for 144 now (which would be…
