Have you tried calorie cycling? When I started doing that weight started falling off. I'll aim for my goal almost every day—which is 1400. But, about 2-3 days of every two weeks I go lower—about 1200, and 2-3 days out of every two weeks I go higher—about 1800-2000. It's nice too, because it helps me to not stress out over…

I love your ideas kechiemc! Thank you! I've been trying to think of ways to incorporate more tea into my diet, I can't believe I didn't think of this. I have a problem with wine, for sure. I've been sticking mostly to organic red, because it's supposed to be the "healthiest" (although not the most lo-cal on the market,…

Chocolate. If you're worried about your diet go for the dark chocolate (and remember one day over cals won't matter much). Then sit in your room alone and cry for no reason for a while. Then eat a bit more chocolate.

I don't hold anything against people who eat meat, it's just sad to see how as a whole our mass over-consumption of meat forces so many animals to be born in, live in, and die in such inhumane circumstances. They are treated as if they are not living, breathing creatures. I personally couldn't get through even half of this…

Vanity is my top motivator too. Family functions - my mom is always so quick to point out that "so-and-so has really put on weight". When I went from 145-160 over the course of a year, my Thanksgiving visit was practically ruined because I kept thinking that my aunts and cousins must be saying that about me. My brother, if…

I'm sure people might find this weird, but last month I got a standing desk. I used an online calculator to figure out how many extra calories that burns for my weight and I do log standing at my desk (rather than sitting)—I want to see the difference it makes! If I stand for 3 hours it's like 100 calories burned or…

I'm an ex-smoker who vapes. It's great to feel like a real person again without the heavy feeling in my lungs. I feel happier and healthier, and my family is happy too. I seem to have more of an oral fixation than an actual addiction - I have no problem stopping and starting smoking at the drop of a hat, as long as I can…

I run into this problem a lot too, I work full time and go to school as well. Here is what I have done: 1. I got a stand/sit convertible desk for my office. I stand half the day. I've noticed an increase in my metabolism, and I burn a few extra calories this way, which add up over time. Plus, you fidget more when you…

I find it gross and don't eat it - with some exceptions, of course (poor planning, lack of time to prepare a meal, social situations) but when I do I try to choose something with healthier options. For most fast food burger chains it's easy to stop eating there if you think about what you're actually eating - the food…

I know this thread is over a year old, but I found it though a web surf because I have similar concerns about my own health. In college, binging was a popular pass time with me and my friends. I'm also in an extra curricular drum corps, which is an adult organization that I love, but on our down time most people in the…
