  • Wednesday Wish - That I had a chef to cook all my meals. (for free of course!) Kinda79 - I think they do just a monthly goal that everyone attempts. Good luck with your 2nd round. Hope you stick around a while :) BJCamp1978 - I love that story about your son. What a good kid you have there! Maybe this will be the…
  • Thanks everyone for the advice on getting through everything. I pulled out my crockpot to help with food. I'm on day 2 so far of crock pot dinners. I will probably be using it a lot that way I can just throw it together in the morning and then dinner is done and off my list!! lol I'm usually pretty good on my calories…
  • Monday Check-in: Omg! After I weighed in for my dietbets last week my brain went crazy. This whole week has been horrible with eating. Glad I was doing some major work around the house and yard so I maintained at least. But ugh... I think I'm starting to get overwhelmed with everything going on right now. I have a really…
  • Checking in, sorry I disappeared there for a while. :embarassed: My cousin charity fundraiser went pretty good. Not nearly as many people as we hoped showed up (4 for the 5k....) but it was his first year doing it and he made a lot of new connections so hopefully next year will go better. I've been in "get stuff done" mode…
  • Thanks Kaye & M0W for the cruise advice. We did decide to go ahead and go. Still working out the details (friends who may or or may not go holding us up because we need to book a triple or quad cabin). Can't find a photographer for the couple :( The closest I found is $200 more than me and doesn't include an engagement…
  • AngelikaLumie - 3.3 is good! & mmm chocolate :) GrammyWhammy - haha nice one skinnyjeanzbo - Have fun at the rugged maniac that's coming up! DoingThiisFor - Man, the job situation sounds hard. Have you thought about "secretly" searching for something better? I hope your manager lets you go back to the 5:30 shift! I'm sorry…
  • Forgot! I wanted to get some advice. We booked a wedding last weekend for January 25th 2014. THEN we found out about this awesome cruise that I'm dying to go on! It has all the bands I like and it goes to the Bahamas. Its not really in our budget, but I'm willing to shift things around so my husband and I can go...BUT its…
  • Catching up from the weekend. I don't usually have time to read what everyone posts Friday-Monday but I'm going to try and stay caught up and supportive (not just always talk about myself *Me-me-Me-me* lol). Sorry if I don't get to everyone very often! Mow - I sprained my ankle and couldn't get around for 2 days, then…
  • Thursday Truth - I've been living off microwave food for a while. I've curbed it to be "healthier" foods, but at this point if I can't just grab it and stuff it into my mouth it ends up going bad and gets trashed. I have chicken breast I bought on sale a few months ago that I haven't even touched from the freezer because…
  • Not a bad idea... Its actually about supporting each other...but ya...totally...mailing cheesecake now...Its not my fault if they eat it right??? haha
  • Wednesday Wish - I wish I could fall asleep!
  • CathEsh - I'm so sorry to hear about your student. :( That is terrible news. Teachers get so close to their students too, I can't even imagine. lmackbethl - I like your picture! Makes me want to go swimming! RobinsEgg - Your a brave one Robin. Hope you get some exercise in this week maybe those endorphins will help bring…
  • Good job everyone this weekend! I see lots of people doing some really great exercises and losing! :flowerforyou: @RobinsEgg - You are doing so great with the exercise! I know I'll get there eventually, sometimes I just wish I was there already 1,000 crunches DONE. haha Not quite.... Congrats on the loss too! @suzee71 - I…
  • I'm so sorry Robin, break ups are hard! Especially when they keep wanting to stay in contact, makes it hard to move on. Keep your chin up!
  • Monday Check-in: Well bombed this weekend. Luckily I had a good time Saturday night. I think I needed the break to not worry about money, dog rescue, my job, my family...and..and..and...I'm sure a lot of you can relate. Just worry worry worry...it was nice to just go out and NOT. Though that not came at the price of pasta…
  • Won't be on much for most of the weekend. Trying to get our foster puppy adopted so its non-stop adoption events till Saturday about 9pm. :noway: This is her. Friday: I haven't started doing any exercise at all. :embarassed: I told myself every day this week I was going to go for a walk but never did. However...my eating…
  • You nurses must be stressed! LOL The family I was talking about are all nurses haha!
  • BTW Thanks for the warm welcomes!
  • Changing jobs is scary but I think if you work on your resume and search for a better one one the down-low it might work out. My friend recently did that. Took her a few months, but in the meantime at least she had her income to pay the bills. And not to sound like a walking pharmaceutical (lol) have you thought about…
  • Hello everyone. Going to go ahead and hop in if thats ok. Thursday Truth - I used to love MFP and felt very motivated here back in 2010-2011...after taking a year off and coming back I don't feel that way anymore. It seems like a lot more "troll" type people have come into the boards and people can't get feedback like they…
  • Thats a good idea. I count them, but a lot of days I don't want to. Especially condiments....
  • I would ask this too. Do you have diabetes or anything in your family? My doctor recommended South Beach for me too. For two reasons 1) I'm at risk for diabetes because it runs in my family 2) I was whining I wanted to lose the weight quickly lol Usually lowering your carbs you will see a faster drop in weight BUT (and its…
  • I managed to lose 70lbs in a year. Unfortunately I gained it back the next year...ugh. But I will lose it again. Just from my experience I will say when I was CONSISTENT I would lose each week. It was when I went over calories, or had cheat days, cheat weeks etc that would mess up my progress. My friend joined a little…
  • My husband is supportive of me losing the weight. He will help me cook now and then and try to stay on track. For a while he was exercising with me too but with his new job he is gone a lot so that hasn't happened. Sometimes he caves and gets "bad foods" but he doesn't brag about it or rub it in to me. He also never…
  • Hey Robin are you taking new people on this thread? I used to do this a Loooong time ago and it was so helpful.
  • Have to jump on the band wagon with this one. Don't worry about if your doing the "right" exercise. Do what you enjoy and as you progress maybe dabble in other things. The last thing you want to do is get started on something, hate it, and then quit all together. I think most people on MFP start out mostly if not all…
  • Hiya! I'm not a professional just a chubby girl who has been trying to lose weight of far to long! LOL But I'm going to give you my 2 cents. If you think that going low carb will derail you then DON'T DO IT! You are making progress already with watching calories and exercise. There are other gyms and other groups you can…
  • Met too. I usually eat light breakfast, light lunch, decent dinner and always leave calories to spare for night time snackage just because I know its going to happen no matter how much I ate earlier in the day.
  • I think as long as its from fresh fruit its fine unless you have a specific problem with balancing your sugars (ie diabetic etc).
  • Your so awesome :)
