Last year I had 2 cookies a day as my afternoon snack. They were yum. This year I am Troop Cookie Mom so I guess I will be doing the same. When I placed my daughters order, I wanted to round everything up to the next case to make it easier to load next weekend. I ended up ordering 50 (FIFTY) freakin boxes. The plan is to…

Lots of websites including this one allow you to figure out calories in a recipe. I baked 8 desserts last week, no issues at all.

This week I just started adding a tablespoon of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Yum. I also make my own granola although Im starting to get bored with that recipe and might need to revise it soon.

Yeah... no. My daughter is 8 years old.

If it fits into your calories, it really doesnt matter. Is an apple better than a 100 calorie pack or 1/2 cup of ice cream, well yes. But snacking late isnt going to kill all progress. Notice I said snacking late. I would not advise you to eat a full 500+ calorie meal then go straight to bed. That can affect your sleep and…

I start my day with a diet coke. Then rarely another one in the afternoon (if I get sleepy at work like today). But to answer your question, if I want something but its "bad for me" I make space in my prelogged day to have a small serving. I am a firm believer that if you completely cut out something you love, you will…

I dont have the time or energy to research every place I buy food/clothes/sex toys to see what their workplace enviroment is like, what their owner spends their money on or their religious/political convictions. As long as I dont get sick, I dont really care that much.

I was an only child for almost 10 years. My mom kept be busy with activities even when I was homeschooled for 3 years. Then my sister came along and no one has been the same since. My daughter is 8 years old and talks about having a sibling all the time. We had to take the time to get into a place in life where we could do…

Ultra cant. I know. I killed 2. But the new ones are waterproof. I doubt they measure swimming though.

that thing I have been teasing my husband about all week... and eat chocolate!

If it helps I feel really old. And act old. Its kinda sad that my mom goes out more than me. Good luck. MFP has a wide variety of people.

Yes. With a side of crampy and small serving of "Id like to stab all my coworkers". Its been a concious effort all day not to eat EVERYTHING.

I hiked this summer with my fitbit. It wasnt a really hard hike but it was 107 degrees out (most of the trail was shadded but it was still blazing). FitBit estimated that I burned 700+ calories in like an hour. Do I think 3000 is possible on a 4 mile hike? Yes. I wouldnt eat all those calories back though :)

I believe the saying is "CPS requires that you provide food and nourishment. It doesnt say that they have to eat it." I agree with the - if you keep making a big deal about it, it will only get worse. Not to mention there could be other divorce/mom/dad/step mom issues going on. Eventually they will be old enough to decide…

If Im at home and have my scale, I always use the scale. If it says "16 chips" do they mean whole chips? Or broken chips? There are big chips and little chips. *kitten*. I always go with the scale number. That being said, if Im at work or a party or my moms, I tend to just count 16 average pieces.

1. Big salad with some kind of chicken (either popcorn chicken or rotisserie chicken). Usually consists of spinach, romaine, feta, cucumber, light raspberry viagrette, baby carrots, chicken and maybe craisins. Its a lot of food for not a lot of calories and it takes a long time to eat so it feels like Im eating even more.…

nicely said

agreed on all counts.

My husband was over 300 and it suggested about 3000+ calories. He chose 2000 and after a few weeks, he found that he was actually full and satified on that amount.

Chances are, if you cut off cold turkey and completely deprive yourself, you'll binge or go way super overboard one day. Moderation.

With bacon too.

Wow. That doctor is ridiculous. Im so sorry for you loss and your encounter with his douchiness. Good luck on the weight loss. Please tell me you will never see him again.

Awesome post and great progress. You look awesome.

MFP - probably not. I would constantly be doing math in my head to calculate calories. Facebook - dont use it anyways so sure. No problem. TV - Id be bored but catch up on all my kindle reading. Cell phone - I might hurt someone. I like being able to text my husband throughout the day and be contacted quickly incase of a…
