"combine them!! you'll see great results from full body training three days a week and cardio 2-3 days a week. so say you lift m-w-f, and you do some cardio tu-th-sat. it would be a really great work out plan to give you a lot of balance." Hey! I'm going for my first cut right now. Following Strong lifts program. Aren't…

Bump to read later

I've used it regularly before I switched to lifting. Taking a short break from the weights right now and returned to the app. I know there people here who use it and there's a NTC group. Not much activity there though. Anyway good luck with your workouts!

Yes. Weighing everything except when I eat out some lunches. Macros i ate the same time period: Carb 143.4g/day. Protein 85, 2/day. Fat 295.7/day. I've noticed that the fat probably is to high and I guess it's a factor in the weight loss slowing down. I haven't used protein powder for a while. I tend to get a higher fat%…

As a swed i can tell you this: There's been kind of a cult around lchf for a couple of years over here. Now 5-2 intermittent fasting is the big thing. Bloggers and "expert's" of various kinds fighting it out in media. But the fact about the recommendations is: "NFA recommends about a third of energy intake, 25-35% should…

Save!
-
Wow! Tthats a great idea. I'l save that for later. Now im going for a more full body workout. When I get more advanced, I may want to target some areas. Going to try to stick as close to the program as possible in the beginning.

Well, I guess there's a reason ther it is back squat in the original program. As soon as I built a rack I'l change to backs quats. Regarding my question about the strength so I thought it was more about pushing yourself than the weight itself. For example: To go for max of your capability on front squat is more beneficial…

Yes i have to clean the weight up from the floor but i plan to build a rack as soon as I get the time to do so. No problem yet. Being a newbe i will probably gain from any squat but I have already noticed that the weights will increase quite rapidly at the beginning. About strengts.. If i go for the numbers i guess i want…

Thanks for your response guys. I will cut down on the exercise resting days. But maybe som situps is ok? Really want that six pack. I'm currently eating an average of 1500 calories/day. if i take away my 45min bodyweight exercises 2-3 times/week maybe I will gain weight? Or will the calories be spent when the weights gets…

Uppdate and som new questions. Still trying to recomp. I think it's working out slow but fine. I've lost about 2 kg (6,6 lb) the last 3 months. Mailnly by bodyweigth exorcise and som weighttraining. Now i'v bought myself a new bar and some weights. Trying to get serious about "starting strengths". My question is…

Want to hear this. Trying out starting strength but keeps doing bodyweight exercises to. Currently working out every day. Not sure about getting a good recovery. .

Calorie goal is just part of it. I felt like that in the beginning. I learned that when you eat less the quality of the food is really important. Good solid basic sources for carbs and protein is a good start. Vegetables is a good way to take away hunger without to many calories. (And lose the bread/pasta for…

Try the app "Nike training club". It's like having a personal trainer at home.

Yes. Mainly to get enuff protein. I want to lose fat not muscle.
-
Because I use to be lazy and do some emotional eating.
-
Sounds like a good plan! Thank's for the advice.

I'm getting close to my target weight. I have read about losing fat and build muscle at the same time and concluded that i probably need to up the calories to be able to gain muscle and work hard enough. Problem: i up the calories from 1200 to 1490/day to have the energie for lifting. That makes me gain weight. Maybe i…

Every morning before breakfast. If i would weigh my self only one time/week I wouldn't know if i would be that one day my weight where different because of the fluctuations. This gives me a better idea of the weekly trend.

Try the Nike training club app. It's free and really good for working out at home. I've challenge myself to workout 5 day's/week for a month to get myself ready to do some weight training later.
-
I am interested. What kind of workout is it? Can we see the workout plans?

"Nike training club" :)

I'm going to do the 15 min Core crunch regularly. Should I do the exercise every other day or can i do it every day? I'm thinking about muscle recovery.
