Again, go back to her, voice your concerns! Is your Bp good, cholesterol, heart rate etc? If yes, if you were my child, I would be pushing you to go back to re-evaluate. Especially when you don't agree!

From the sounds of it, you dr. Didn't say that you needed to drop into the low 130s. Maybe he/she would be proud of you at the 140/5 that you desire. The key is communication. Full disclosure. Not always comfortable but sometimes it works. Make another appointment and talk to her again. Voice you concerns!

You have kids. Get up and move with them! It will make you feel better. wake up in the morning, remember what you have (kids) and get a move on! You can do this!

Okay, so you are on here to lose a couple pounds. Good for you! Your Dr. Essentially agreed that it would be a good idea. Trust me, at your age, be the best you can be! It's a lot harder as you get older! No, not a cop out! I am going to do it. It's just harder now:huh:

Six months times four weeks equals 24 lbs at a lb a week? You are looking at 44 lbs, aggressive ? Yes. Calm down! Be proud of what you have accomplished.! Pace yourself! If you push yourself to lose too fast it will only come back to bite you in the @ss!

I messed up by about 1000 calories last night. I could look at it as four days wasted (being at a 250 calorie deficit a day) but I jumped on the elliptical this morning and I will again tomorrow! Hopefully I can correct any damage done. I have set myself up for a half pound a week but usually do better even when I mess up!
-
There are 2.2 pounds in a kg so you lost roughly a pound in a week. That's great in my book!
-
One cook = one meal. He won't eat? That's good for you. You have lunch! Even better, you have supper tomorrow and don't even have to cook!
-
So.....you are netting 600 to 1000 calories a day? Eat more.

Heartburn way reduced! But, it's weight and diet related. At the start I had to take my Zantac twice a day. 45 pounds later I only take it in the morning. Except when I was on vacation. Two days in I was back to twice a day. Too much food/alcohol.
-
Eeek! Sorry! Running around kitchen with fork in hand (tines up)! Does that help!

Yah, I don't. I know it's happening and still do it. My dad passed away a year ago in January. Hard to take? Absolutely. I went on holidays in February and blamed the weight gain on that. Completely false. Well, mostly. Those of us, or some of us that are over weight, tend to compensate for our sadness by eating. Long…
