@hippysprout How are you doing on your JFT? Taking it one day at a time is one of the keys to my losing weight.

I have found that when I am both physically and emotionally tired I do not care what I eat or how much. Or when. The last seven weeks, and especially the last two have been a whippin'!!! Am home now and am in recovery mode. Was doing okay eating wise until the last week and I just couldn't care. Gained 7lbs quicker than a…

@Snowflake1968 Well, I don't think you have to worry about getting your exercise in with all that cleaning! 20lbs! That is doable by December, if you want it. Even with hitting the pause button until after the wedding. I suggest you make a goal to maintain. That means you are not eating with abandon. Plus you want to make…

Slow and steady wins the race! Looks like you are doing a great job!

JFT--Completed the list yesterday JFT--6/27 Drink 8 cups of water---done! Pre-log meals---done! Exercise Breakthrough For the past 7 months I have maintained my weight. If I found myself increasing I would immediately take action. This is the first time I've ever done this and I'm feeling pretty victorious over it! This…

Yesterday I did not get my exercise or Breakthrough study done. But everything else was completed. I went way over my fat---still getting used to prelogging and eating fewer calories than I have been in my maintain mode. What an adjustment this has been! JFT, 6/26 Drink 8 cups of water Pre-log (done) Exercise (done)…

But sometimes we have to change how we are getting there or when, etc. Because of LIFE.

That last sentence that I wrote earlier is where you are! LIFE is causing you to make changes and adjustments in order to reach your goal of weight loss and health gain! Good that Faebert asked you what has changed in…

well, then you can only go up up up, lolol!!! And remember what you said...you aren't going to change if you don't start to change. So get going! And remember we aren't looking for perfection...just progress!

Yes, indeed, changing your word is very powerful! That means you are thinking about it, planning, on the move. This is all good. I will tell you what has helped me. And of course it all depends on the season of your life. I know what my ultimate goal is and that has not changed. But sometimes we have to change how we are…

@maryrobinson40 You are going down, woman! And in such a good good way!!! Doing a happy dance in my heart for you. Remember: @Bex953172 Yes! I think "change" is a good word for you! Keep moving forward. What one change are you making today??? Peace and joy!

Thinking of y'all! May peace and joy abound!

@snowflake1968 I am so very thrilled for you. Did I read that you are able to walk to work?? You had to wait for the woman to retire and in the meantime you became quite skillful at interviews and revealed how strong, stubborn, and steadfast you are when you are going for something. You never gave up. Didn't have a pity…

Greetings! Would you PM me, please---for some reason when I initiate it I can't connect to the receiver!

I am so grateful to be able to be a part of this group...which means I am grateful for a computer, MFP, and my weight loss program that led me to MFP.
-
OH I am so thankful your dogs were found and rescued and now safe at home. You are relieved I'm sure. So thankful the gentleman took time to get them.

Honestly, when I saw the "girl in the polka dot dress" my first thought was, "She is so pretty! And has joy on her face!" Thank you for sharing, Mary. You have a fine looking family! Peace and joy!

what's the squat challenge?
Well, I think that some folks use an app?? But I am just doing a challenge with a few other friends (not on here), to do 100 squats a day...not all at once time but just a total of 100 squats.
-
Greetings Miss Heidi!!! I am so glad to see you back on here...I may have missed a previous post or two...1000 yards??!! You must be part fish! Peace and joy

Thinking of you Traci and Joan.

Thankful everyone is home and doing well. I am the same...I don't do squats while brushing teeth, although I did think about it last night. But I do them while I wait for my water to boil, or toast to brown, etc! I just have to get a hundred in each day...not sure I could do more than that!!! Keep it up...you are going to…

I have a dear friend/mentor whom I have known for almost 40 years. I babysat for her in college and we've been friends ever since. I'm 57 and she is 72. She has always been thin-- never had to exercise. But she told me when I visited her last week that she has no strength in her thighs. The other day she fell in a parking…

I don't think there could be any nicer tribute. What a fantastic legacy your brother left here. He made a huge impact while he was here on earth. No doubt he has heard the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." May you have peace with the knowledge your brother left here knowing where he was heading to next and…

So sorry about your stepdad. Your mom has a lot to process. Have you considered sending her a "thinking of you" card. Sometimes it's very comforting to know that you are being thought of even when you can't connect with others. Yea it is spring!!!

We never know what a person is going through. This is from a FB post back in January. But I think it is a good reminder of how we should all practice patience and kindness---our little JFT group is filled with kindness and encouragement--I always come away uplifted. Peace and joy. As I was pulling into work, I was…
