@PackerFanInGB I hope you and your GD had a lovely outing. And I'm not surprised at all that she would want to go bumming around with you---I'd like to do that myself! You are making wonderful memories with her. @Mytime6630 WW could be a great way to give you a push start to get you going again. I'm glad you are making the…

Exactly! I myself have become complacent in losing the ten more pounds I would like to have off. But then I think, well, I've kept the weight off for a year and that's better than I've ever done! I've lost 30 pounds and that's the best I've ever done! And I am exercising more than I ever have so yea for me! Let's meet back…

So, as a bit of encouragement...if you lose one pound each month and keep it off, you will weigh 169 lbs by December. I hope, because you want it, that you do lose more...but wow 169 is still a great feat. If you accomplish the difficult task of KEEPING EACH POUND OFF that is a huge victory! You'll be down a dress size!…

Last call for the Financial Peace University course for anyone who was with us prior to Jan 1 of this year. I have a taker here locally but they can wait if you want Hannah to send it your way. JFT 2/28 Still shifting from 146-150. Not as tenacious or self-disciplined as I was this time last year. Drink 6 cups water/herbal…

Hi, sweet ladies, Sometimes a small step can lead to a more joyful, more peaceful state of being. What is one thing today that you can do to add to a more positive you, spiritually, physically, or mentally? Just one thing? Nothing earth shattering, goal setting. Applying lotion to your feet and hands (or to someone…

But you did end on a high note. You came on here. You aren't hiding. You aren't giving up (otherwise you wouldn't be here  And tomorrow is another day! So, it sounds like you are weak right now...I suggest getting rid of the landmines that may be lurking in your pantry and fridge. Don't play the "I'm stronger than…

I really think, if I can be a sarge in charge, that getting it out of your house is the best thing to get started. It is tough the first three days...oh, I am remembering now...I bought a 2 liter and would take a swig of it when I would need a jolt. It lasted several days. Then that was it. I didn't let any more in the…

I recall when I had been drinking coke for a few days and would quit, I would get headaches. And when I had tapered off to just having it every 8 weeks or so, the diet coke would make my legs go rather numb. And that also helped me to push myself to break the habit.

Began tapering off about 3 years ago. Got them out of the house. I started buying one a week from the gas station fountain. Then it went to once a month, and then only when traveling long distance. Last year when I started on this journey I ended it completely. I buy LaCroix fizzy water and am very satisfied with them. I…

2 G&T's?

Good for you! That is a great accomplishment. I've been off them for over a year...had a sip of Sprite the other day and cringed...too sickly sweet! Yuck!

Great! Let me know what you think about it...

My husband and I purchased a personal finance program called Financial Peace University, by Dave Ramsey, to share with others who are wanting to take control of their finances. It's about a 9 week course. It will motivate and teach you how to get out of debt, step-by-step ways to get on a budget (he has a free online…

You are evaluating and then modifying...great! What is working this week, may not next week, due to all kinds of circumstances...including our emotions or amount of motivation. For me, I had to do away with any kind of number goal. I still weigh but I'm not concerned with losing a set amount of weight each…

hello fellow sojourners! I want to pass along a site that I am enjoying. It has two weeks of meal plans that include recipes and grocery lists, two weeks of professional-styled aerobics and strength training for all levels, which amounts to more than 14 videos. There is an opportunity to pay for more but I have yet to do…

I must have missed some posts...I thought you were loving your job??

Well, my dear, we shall have to relish in that which we agree upon, and celebrate that we have the freedom to amicably agree to disagree!

Ha! My son's orthopedic surgeon would don a crazy hat every day...he had hundreds of them. And he'd wear a Hawaiian shirt as well. A very capable surgeon who made otherwise nervous people smile and relax!

What an absolute treasure you have. Wow. And what a handsome couple they made!

Have a lovely, lovely time! Safe travels! Seize the moment...who knows when you will return again!

I'm not sure that makeup or no makeup, or wearing jewelry or not is a sign of capitalism. Nor is being admonished for being uncooperative a sign of capitalism. I know several professional women who, while staying within their company's regulations/guidelines, wear very minimal, if any, make up...and I know a lot who choose…

@snowflake1968 Thought of you!

I did not heed this today at all. But the day is not over. I am turning the corner and embracing this the rest of the day. Peace and joy

There are lots of struggles going on here right now. And of course, we all understand that life is truly made with stretches of time when life's waters are wrapping us in gentle waves, and then moments when we are caught in a tumultuous raging storm. Some days it seems it's never ending, not enough time to take a breath…

Aw you are a lovely bride! Thank you for letting us be part of it!!!! So exciting.

So, Valentine's Day is just around the corner. You choose. Will the candy rule you or will you rule the candy? Are you going to choose to not have any candy? Then you must strategize. Tell you husband/friends/parents, etc. "Please do not bring me candy" Have you already purchased candy and have now decided you aren't going…
