  • As a personal trainer and group fitness instructor I can offer this: I am currently about 20lbs overweight. Not due to eating or my workout but due to medicine I was placed on by my doctor. Fortunately I am now off but the weight is slow to come off. So I may not look super lean or ripped but mentally I know how to bring a…
  • So much win in this post. So much.
  • Smear it on chunks of banana or spread it across warm, crusty French bread. *drool*
  • I can sympathize with your situation. I have had multiple concussions over the years which has led to lesions on my brain. Fun city, population: me! For core work definitely incorporate planks, side hovers, supermans and, when you are ready, add in woodchops. I do my woodchops with a resistance band. If your gym offers a…
  • "Anytime someone dies"... Ah, man, Rory and Clara must be brutal on you :) I would add "Push ups anytime I have a dirty thought about David Tennant".
  • Right now my favorite thing is lentil tacos. Cook green lentils in a rice cooker then when done add taco seasoning and a little water and cook for another 5 minutes. Scoop into taco shells (or on tortilla chips), add some veggies (I do lettuce, tomatoes and avocado) a sprinkle of cheese and some plain Greek yogurt instead…

  • I cry, I cuss and I beg for death. And that is just while rolling my IT bands. Happy when its over, hate life during.
  • I love my chiropractor. I have used them since I was a child (my grandfather and great grandfather were both chiropractors). Mine has helped me through various injuries over the years as a pro athlete, two car accidents and one separate incident that left me in a wheelchair for a bit. All without surgery or drugs.
  • If I saw you huffing and puffing I would think "Good on her, look at her kicking butt". So get up and go kick some booty! :)
  • I have two Les Mills programs under my belt (RPM and CxWorx) and let me tell you that those modules are rough but totally worth it. Most likely a few weeks before your module you will be assigned 1-2 tracks that you must know for that weekend. It is ok if you are not perfect at doing them as your instructors will guide you…
  • Lots of water. Stretching/foam roller. Walk. Hit the pool. I also love to hit the steam room. Also, I use the handicap stalls for at least two days. Glutes day+DOMS=my butt not wanting to sit on a toilet seat.
  • PB in Switzerland was brutally expensive. When we lived in Zurich my husband would order it from an American store over there. It was much easier to have it sent from the States. I used to travel with pb all the time. Now I always travel with natural almond butter.
  • Glad you enjoyed it! I love love LOVE RPM classes. But definitely relax the death grip. Also make sure on the climbs you are not leaning heavy on your handle bars. The weight and pressure should be in the lower half of your body. When you are seated your hand should have light pressure in them but you are still able to…
  • I believe the average nursing mom burns about 500 calories a day so you can possibly add 500 calories to your daily intake but I would definitely check with a nutritionist/RD. You do not want to risk going too low and putting your milk supply at risk. Good luck!
  • I am testing for my PT cert this weekend and am currently certified to teach Les Mills RPM and CxWorx, going for LM Vive in June, Group X certified and for Aqua. I love teaching classes and am very excited to take this next step on my and future clients' fitness journey!
  • Nutella smeared on warm, crusty French bread. Yup, this has to happen this weekend.
  • Rosemary and curry are triggers for me. I have to eat small meals every 2-3 hours. If I go too long between meals I have to start with a light carb. I make sure I drink plenty of water and I find the cleaner I eat the better I feel and the easier it is to handle IBS. Good luck OP!
  • Best. Thread. EVER.
  • I always wear my helmet. We have taught our daughter that she needs to wear hers and I lead by example. Also, the drivers in Vegas are nuts.
  • Took the words right out of my mouth/keys.
  • In addition to the great suggestions above here is a little trick I teach in my RPM classes: FIrst, lay down on the floor on your back, feet down and hip width apart. (You can also stand and just act out this drill). Know how when you lay down there is a space between the floor and the small of your back? Push your lower…
  • You are simply mistaking volume for weight. 1lb=1lb, regardless of the material. Its all ONE pound. Please read what member Raw6503 wrote in their reply (see #1). And kudos for the cheap shot about "spreading lies". You sure told me.
  • 1lb = 1lb therefore the phrase "muscle weighs more than fat" is false. Muscle takes up less room in the body. There is a another member who has a great picture that shows this.
  • Folks, muscle does not "weight more" than fat. 1lb=1lb. Muscle takes up less room in the body than fat. OP-Don't stress about the 2 pounds. Keep your chin up, working hard, eating clean and things will fall into place eventually. Between TOM, water retention and other possible factors fluctuation will happen. Just keep…

  • Without a doubt, RPM.
  • Can you try hitting the pool for your next workout? When DOMS is really kicking my butt I will hit the water for a workout. Seems to help, at least for me.
  • Ask your doctor if you can take your workout to the pool. Maybe take an Aqua cardio class.
