  • change up your workout routine. I recently started using Jillian Michaels. I alternate between 30D shred, Extreme Shed and Shred (Either level 1 or level 2 - I have yet to do both at once) and No More Trouble Zones. I have consistently increased the weights that I use (about every 2 weeks) and that has made a huge…
  • I agree with the comment of anything Jillian Michaels. 30 Day Shred is awesome as it starts slow and lets you build when you are ready to move on. There is also a good diet plan at Jillian Michaels.com if you need help with portion sizes and variety of foods to help you stay on track. Good luck and keep us posted!!!!
  • Hi - i started 30 day shred 15 days ago and love it. I am mixing in some Tae Bo and bicycling as well. Where do you log in the 30 day shred on MFP? I'm having a hard time finding it in the database. Are you logging each individual exercise or is there something already set up? Thanks for the help and keep going - you'll…
  • Just stated Jillian Michael's 30 day shred (Each level is 20-25 minutes) . A great combination of cardio/abs/weights. There are 3 levels so you can work your way up. She also has a video out (a bit older) called No more trouble Zones (about 45 minutes) but again a great combination of all things. I mix this with my Tae Bo…
  • Hi - just bought a new George Foreman grill (with removable plates - that was key for me). In the morning before work I grill a chicken breast or a piece of tilapia or swai fish on the grill while I'm making breakfast. I take this for lunch along with some steamed veggies and Chobani yogurt. The fish/chicken usually cooks…
  • I am on a breakfast burrito kick lately. I usually include 3 scrambled egg whites, 1/8 cup shredded colby jack cheese and 1 tbsp. Pace chunky salsa. I also use the Mission Carb Conscious Tortillas. They are a bit smaller (fajita sized) but 2 of them fills me up. I split the 3 egg whites between the 2 tortillas. Good luck!
  • Hi - I just started the 30 day Shred yesterday. I get to the gym 3-4 times a week to do a combination of cardio classes and a strength training workout given to me by my personal trainer. I picked up the 30 day Shred due to the low time commitment and as an addition to my regular workouts. I think you'll be surprised.…
  • Great advice Ruby Belle. Also, you might start thinking about exercises that fit your lifestyle. There are a thousand options for working out at home that include everything from 10 minutes to 90 minutes at a time. I have been doing Tae Bo for 10 years now and I love it. The workouts range from 25 -90 minutes so I can…
  • No Train, No Gain! Slogan on my husbands newest workout shirt!
  • Hi - Sounds like good advice below. I would also add some interval training into your treadmill routine. Lately I have been doing 2 minutes at 2.0 incline at 6.5 speed and then 30 seconds at 2.0 incline still and 4.5 speed to "recover". I alternate this at least 3 times before any weight training workout just to get myself…
