Great program. I have done it 3 times now. Started after p90x which was a nice kick start but took my weight from 203 to 178 by the end of month two of insanity (also a combo of using MFP to adhere to healthy eating and a sprinkle of bikram yoga 3 x per week). Greatest program. Just don't get intimidated. Remember, he's…

Success begins at the end of your comfort zone Tough times don't last, tough people do Pain is just weakness leaving the body That which doesn't kill me...had better start running

I've been doing Bikram / Hot yoga for a while. I wore a heart rate monitor to about 10 classes in order to get an average reading for calories burned in order to log in MFP. Now keep in mind that everyone is different, but for me I burn an average of 875 calories during the 90 minutes. Days that I simply go through the…

Sugar is like a drug. Once you have it and your blood sugar spikes and drops you need more to even yourself out. When I look back at my food log, my worst eating binges have been preceded by wine, or a piece of chocolate or something with pure sugar and little nutritional value. I started the no sugar thing today. Kicking…

Dont go by the scale. Always go by the mirror and if you dont see progress, adjust your diet (its always your diet). At 20 days in I also was only down only a few pounds but I did see some decent changes in my body when I looked in the mirror. That motivated me to eat even cleaner and lighter to see what else would change.…

I've been doing bikram (hot) for a while now. When I was doing it 3 -5 times per week at night (along with other training programs in the mornings - P90x, Insanity, Tapout, etc) I noticed most of my weight loss (~30 very stubborn pounds). I wore a HRM to about a dozen classes and my calorie burn averaged 875 for 90 minutes…

Love all veggies but I cant eat string beans unless they're overcooked because they squeak on my teeth and send me thru the roof. Its like nails on a chalkboard.

Absolutely hate snow. Hate the winter. I like the change in seasons thru the holidays and then I want it to be summer again.

single toughest thing I've ever done. I was addicted to the nicotene gum for years too. I work 70 hour weeks, have 3 kids at home, a demanding career and have been through a lot in life in general BUT nothing came close to the physical, mental and emotional energy spent actually quitting smoking / nicotene. So stick with…

Where to begin? First bacon is not healthy, I dont care what low carb diet you are on. And then there are the magic pills. Can't tell you how many people I know claim to know a guy, who knew a guy, who lost 200 pounds by taking hydroxycut.."and he didnt even have to workout or change his diet". And yes, muscle weighs more…

Greatest workout ever. I did P90x, P90x2 (both with good, solid results). Insanity however was the best. I lost close to 20 pounds in 2 months and kept it off. Went on to tapout and Rushfit (also very godo workoputs) and have since gone back to insanity when i want to peel off weight. As far as recovery drinks, I am a fan…

Thanks to all who posted links to the websites and documentary film. I do the warrior diet which has you fast all day (under say 400 calories or fruits and vegetables if necessary) and then eat one main meal at night (or over a 4 hour window each day and its up to you when that window is but it should be consistent)…

Can somebody send me or post any links to this style of fasting regimine. I've done plenty of fasts and cleanses but have not heard of this. Very interested. Thanks

I was always told that if you start your day with warm water with lemon or tea that it kick starts your digestive system to be more effective after being in a fasting state overnight. I've since read the same in various diet books over the years. That and caffiene definitely has a stimulating and diuretic effect on the…

Soon to be 41. Down 20-ish to date. Want another 10 for good measure. I'm back to college weight but it sure doesn't look like it did back then.

check out www.xperiencedays.com . they have some pretty cool "experience gifts" in most US cities (flying lessons, stock car racing, cooking lessons, wine and beer tastings, etc. ). My wife got me a few of these and they're quality.

I definitley notice the difference when I am not drinking for a while. It's easier to control my eating, especially at night. it's easier to wake up and work out in the morning. the pounds literally fall off. I try to add it back in moderation but I know my limits and I'm a bit of an extremist. It's all or none. Therefore,…

25-30g per sitting, spaced approx 3-4 hours apart. More than that is excreted and beats on your kidneys. Drink tons of water and get some fiber as well. That may hurt later.

Almond milk and a tablespoon of liquid L Carnitine (a little added sweetness and it burns fat too).
