I don't know if you mean me or someone else, but I don't think anyone can really offer anything to the conversation at this point that hasn't already been said.

Can I just say that I am amazed this thread is still active? Some of the posts seriously made me laugh. Guys, I never once said I wasn't taking anyone's advice here. Only one person so far has acknowledged that yes, I am actually reading everything posted and taking it into consideration. Want a list? Rock on. 1. Doctors…

Staying on the forums and getting my words picked apart by people that have nothing better to do is time I would rather spend with my weights and my "lying" big butt. :)
-
Lovely. Thank you to those that helped me out, I will take all of this advice and do my own thing away from here. I appreciate it.

I need my annual exam anyway, so I can kill two birds with one stone. It won't hurt to get some medical advice.
-
And this helpful, and something I am happy to try. Thank you.
-
Well, I certainly hope my body is not a medical mystery! I guess what happens is this - I watch as people around my go on Weight Watchers/cut their calories/walk a little bit and lose ten pounds in two weeks. This is not something I am making up or imagining, it actually happens. I assume this will happen for me. Three…

Nooooo pizza!

Ok. Doctor appointment made, and now to look for a dietician. A personal trainer is in my future. Thank you.
-
Ok, then the general suggestion is that all of my counts are incorrect and I need to eat better/workout more. Assuming that my counts really ARE right, and I am NOT lying about anything (and really, why would I even want to), then what else? See a doctor?

Thanks!

Thanks for the links! Here's a question then - if the HRM is probably wrong, how do I calculate my calories burned? Do I just workout for a set amount of time and hope I did what I needed to do?
-
I know that - I said that MFP told me I was if I went under 1200, not that I was actually starving.
-
Oh I don't know if my HMR is wrong, I just know what it is all I have to go by. I have no other way of knowing how many calories I burn when I work out. I took a photo of my HMR a couple weeks ago for Instagram - I did 34 minutes, burned 346 calories doing a MIX of cardio and weights. Everyone keeps thinking I am just…

Thank you! Starvation mode actually shows up on MFP if I eat under 1200 a day, which actually happened when I first started and I was eating super clean, because I had no idea how to get what I needed in a day. It was awful. I was so cranky.
-
Actually, I just don't want a bunch MORE judgemental posts now that I have figured out how to change my privacy settings. Thanks.
-
Isn't it horrifying to know how many calories are in things like the Bloomin' Onion? I have done this at every place I have eaten at since I started. I won't even go to a place that doesn't have something I can eat. Eating out is no longer fun lol. And thank you!
-
I just went and joined :)
-
Well for one, I am not eating out three times a week. Thanks.
-
Scooby is kind of cool. It says I should be eating over 1600 calories a day, which is interesting. I put in gain muscle, lose fat as my choice - with just lose fat, it says I should be at 1400. Pretty darn close in either direction to where I have been, but the breakdown is fascinating.
-
I agree with most of this. I really don't want to be eating the exact same meal every single day, and I live in the desert - everything I get will have to be frozen or cost an arm and a leg.
-
He does. I try to find something we can both eat for us to cook, but occasionally we eat seperate. I try not to eat at all after dinner because I found that is when I want the bad stuff! Typically, I buy all my food for the week at one time and prep it on Sunday morning so all I have to do is grab it and go.
-
Everyone has a different opinion on what "eating clean" means and I am taking that part with a grain of salt, since I did give it a try and it didn't work out. Your advice is definitely what's staying with me in this thread.
-
I am going to take a bit of advice from everywhere and keep trying. I'm not ready to give up, I'm just disappointed. Work, work, work.
-
...oops. Now I do feel stupid. Thank you.
-
Why is my reply button not working? I just noticed it hasn't in this entire thread. Sigh. I DO want help. I wouldn't have come here otherwise. I guess I was hoping for something different than everyone kept saying - eat less, workout more. Really, I am not trying to be in denial about anything. I am doing what is my…

Thanks for the advice. Like I mentioned before, I WAS clean - 100%. It sucked up so much of my time and showed so little results - plus it was expensive as hell, I am the only one in my house eating like this and so it was like buying groceries twice - I got discouraged. If I had two extra hours in my day and $200 more a…

I agree with this. I try to go with things that are already measured or are easy to measure (a measuring cup is my friend), but maybe I am missing something. I am ok with going back to measuring. I just don't want this to consume my life.

I try to stick with chicken or fish. I know beef of any kind is higher in calories and fats.
