**I'm giving you a virtual high 5 for adopting from a shelter! **

That's the cutest thing EVER!!!!! Awwww :) Ok, for my actual answer: My border collie Dudley, since we adopted him, is a really good walker. He pulls a little on the leash, but for the most part stays in the same spot - only really stopping to do "his business". I've started the C25K program WITH him, and so far he is 100%…

Haha... I love Target. Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your're local!!! I'm in North Rialto... LOL.

Hmm... I haven't seen anyone on this thread yet that is really close to my stats... Starting Weight: 256 Current Weight: 232 Goal Weight: 175 (but *kitten*, I'll be extatic just to hit under 200!)

5am - C25K training w/ my border collie Dudley. Today it was 51 minutes, with a calorie burn of 343. I did JM Ripped in 30 on Monday and I'm still soooooooooooooooooooo sore! But I gotta stay on the wagon, so I'll probably hit that tonight after dinner.

I... love this. Cuz for a lot of people who have a good amount of extra weight that they are carying... this is seriously how we feel. It's really nice to be reminded of the fact that others don't look down on heavy people who are exercising - it's the opposite. I can't wait till I finish C25K and I'm all red and sweaty…

LOL! That was awesome... I HATE the beltloop on the door handle and the hangnail ones... I nearly got my pants ripped right off of me one time when I wasn't paying attention... bahahhahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..... From a door handle - not a hangnail.

I'm one of those people who also like to go online and research what i'm gonna get before I hit the place... so the really handy ones for me are Panera, FlameBroiler, Subway, Panda Express and probably Souplantation. In California, all food establishments are *SUPPOSED* to provide the nutritional info - but yeah, as soon…

OMG! What an awesome idea!!!! and I love stickers and little crafty things so I'm TOTALLY making myself some of these this weekend. AWww.... thanks for sharing :)

Umm... YES. I turn 30 in about 2 months. I have noticed: - My metabolism thru my 20's slowed down quite a bit - Things that I used to be able to do at the spur of the moment (like run for a couple minutes straight) I can still do, but get really achey afterward if I don't warm up for it - ALLERGIES. I turned 25, and all of…

Yay for C25K!! Before joining MFP about 90 days ago- I had never actually followed thru with an exercise or eating plan. So to find a training program that is going to help me learn to jog for 30 min straight kinda seemed impossible. Starting tomorrow, I will be on week 3, day 1. But I think im going to repeat week 2…

The tastiest + healthiest is probably the fajitas... grilled vege's and meat... Or if they do those huge tostada salads; just get it w/out the sour cream & guacamole - and of course, try and keep yourself from eating the delicious fried bowl thing that it comes in.

Can't remember if I posted here already or not... but my goal is about 175. I weighed 175 when I graduated HS, and I looked awesome. I don't think I could maintain anything smaller than that... I... kinda like to eat...

Same here!!!! Oh yeah..... :smokin:

I hope this thread gets more action... this is an awesome question! :) One of my favorites is to heat up my George Foreman grill in the morning and cook a serving of salmon (Costco sells these perfectly portioned peices, frozen, individually wrapped). I'll grill him up, let it cool, put it in a baggie... Then I'll make an…

BAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Now THAT was funny! Real name is Brenda, Dad calls me "Butt-Renda" Husband calls me "Bruce"... inside joke about Bruce and Demi

Southern California... Contrary to popular belief - it really does rain here too....

I agree. I like Zumba a lot cuz I can modify anything that I need to... Sometimes (when I first started out) it would get a little hectic for my heart rate so I take an extra couple seconds against the side of the room out of the way of others to catch my breath. I would suggest sneaking into a spot near the rear of the…

Aww... that was a nice little Monday reading :)

I LOVE my furbabies!!!! My husband and our kids - Dudley is superman and Fiona is the killer bumble bee... the outfits suit their personalities :)

Totally hot, I know... especially with no eyebrows :)

That should be interesting... I really like the Trader Joe's spicey spinach pizza's... their 140 cal each - I usually put loads of vege's on em and bake em. I had 2 today and used them as pita's with boca burgers as filler and vege's. They were awesome...

I'm another one with the Polar FT-4. I love mine; chest strap and all... Super easy to set up... put in your data... it's simple. I got mine for about 65 bucks on sale at Big 5 Sporting Goods. I'm not recording distance (this one doesn't count that kind of stuff), I'm just interested in the actual heart rate, how many…

I've lost 20... and the only difference I can see is that pants that I had to squuueeezzzeeeee into a few months ago, are now sitting real comfy. I think it probably takes (for my size anyways) a good 30 + lbs to be really noticable. It probably depends on your size. I mean, 20 lbs on a person that goes from 140 to 120 is…

Holy Crap... a lot of posts on here are people wanting to be really small for 5'7... I started at 256, I'm down to about 235, but I'd be cool to get down to 170-175 and maintain that. any smaller - and honestly I don't think I could maintain it...

ooOOOOOOooo... Electric Cardio, eh? That actually sounds pretty good. I started out with the Pandora stations... the Pop Fitness and 80's Cardio stations that they've got. They worked for awhile... but I ended up wanting something quicker (and a little more similar to the funky pop they play in my Zumba classes), so I…

I use a heart rate monitor (Polar FT-4, I believe), and my average 60 minute zumba in person class is usually a calorie burning of about 500. (I weigh about 235 now, started at 256) When I do the Wii Zumba at home, it's a bit less... 350-400 for about the same time. I haven't done the DVD's... but the Wii Zumba is pretty…

I do a lot of popcorn. Both aid popped (the no guilt stuff from Trader Joe's) and those little 100 calorie Smart Pop bags. If i'm doing the microwave bags, though, I pop it at home in the morning, spinkle just a little bit of those popcorn seasonings on it (nacho cheese flavor and white cheddar are awesome)... I also will…

Awesome! I'm totally going to start doing these at my desk... since I'm there 8 dreaded hours a day... I thought about bringing my thigh master to work - but it kinda squeeks when pushed together - and I would really rather not have that conversation of "What are you doing under there?"... LOL!
