Register for races... Get a running app or make a playlist... Tell yourself that "the hardest step for a runner is the first one out the door." Even when my run was garbage, I never regret going. Feel free to add me! I just posted a thread earlier looking for more running friends. :)

I'm starting today! I'd love to make new friends who are doing it too...

You are amazing! You look phenomenal and your energy is definitely contagious. I've seen some of your good days and bad in the short time I've been on MFP, but you always keep it real so thank you for that. :) Keep pushing. You'll get to your GW! Congrats on your successes!

I'm here for you, friend! When I start feeling that way, I just tell myself if I wanted it bad enough, I'd have it. So it becomes a question of--how bad do I want it? I try and make exercise a priority. I listen to the tiny Jillian drill sergeant on my shoulder and suck it up. You've got this. 30 minutes a day can do…

I'm thisclose to buying the bose headphones w/ the Reebok armband, but it's super pricey. Waiting to hear what other people have to say. :)

Awww...happy thread! My BF always tells me I'm beautiful and lately, that he loves my new body. On the rare occasion he goes grocery shopping, he'll buy the meals/snacks that I would buy even though he's never had to check a nutrition label in his life. He now leaves all the empty packaging out when he's cooking so I can…

You have no idea how much more hopeful you just made me. Thank you! I can't wait to be able to say I can run 6, 7, even 8 miles like it's no big deal. I think I'm going to focus on mastering the 5K first and when that gets too easy, I'll start adding one mile a week as you suggested. Thankfully I have a lot of time to…

Feel free to add me as well! I'm a new runner training for a half in March 2013. I've gone from almost dying running a half mile to recently running the 4 mile Coronado Bay Bridge run without stopping. Four miles to 13 won't be so easy. Advice very much needed and appreciated. :D

Yay!! You're such an inspiration, friend! Congratulations! Now let's RUN!

I've been doing 30DS daily and running every other day. Personally, the shred only makes me sore for the first couple days after starting a new level, so it doesn't wear me down. If anything, my sore calves/shin splints (grrr) are what kill me when I run on top of it. I've taken a few days off throughout the month, the…

Oooh love the back dimples. Great job!

Lately it's "You Used To Hold Me" by Calvin Harris. In general, I found that I LOVE keeping pace w/ techno. And not what most think is "techno" but actual techno. It's a beautiful thang. :D

It used to be my boobs (they were damn near inverted they were so small) but then I paid for an upgrade. ;) Money well spent! I'm finally proportionate. Finally confident. Now I'm just working on the belly which has always made me self conscious. The good news is, I'm slowly but surely losing it and the smaller it gets,…

Munching on this now. YUM! Thanks for sharing. I'm notorious for screwing up chicken--it's always dry. This recipe was a godsend! Modified it a bit to what was in my fridge: 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 cup non-fat vanilla greek yogurt Eyeballed cayenne pepper, garlic powder, all purpose seasoning, pepper Baked,…

Girl, I need to! Intimidated is probably an understatement. I have no clue where to start and I'm too chicken to ask for help.

I go to 24 hour fitness by Camp Pendleton sooo....yeah. Marines. ;) Not a bad gig! Although the hot ones are usually lifting so I'm left feeling all deprived on the treadmill.

Can't say it's the best EVER, but the John Mayer line that always gets me is: "If you let me leave, I swear I never will." (Only Heart). Oh J May...

I want to do this so badly! Just found out about it a couple days ago and it's been on my mind ever since. I'm fairly new to running but I started a few months ago thinking I could barely do a half mile and I'm up to 4. Seems nuts to go from 4-13 but I figure I have six months to train. Mind over matter! :) I'd love to…
