I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine :(... my mom passed away 2 summers ago and my dad is going through the same thing.. learning to cook less. He does what you do, uses them for meals for lunch or dinner etc. I cook for myself often, and am use to cooking for one. What do you like to eat? I like buying the…

If you're hungry - try finding some 50 calorie or 100 calorie snacks. Goldfish, grapes, pudding (I'm a sucker for pudding packs), a salad, lunch meat, Tuna and crackers, etc ... - whatever you enjoy. Congrats on your first run!! Hopefully, 1st of MANY!!

That's quite the claim. Why a gallon of aloe juice? It's not necessary to cut anything out unless for medical reasons. Eat at a reasonable deficit and you will lose weight/fat.

My personal experience with a handheld body fat% monitor... I had my body fat% tested when I was in the middle of my weight loss. I think it was 2 or 3 months later and 20 pounds lost, the body fat% showed only slightly lower. When I asked about it, the trainer who was administering the test said I likely lost mostly water…

You might be able to just add an exercise manually?? Otherwise, the seconds for reps sounds like the next best.

They never figured out why it happened?! Wow, I can't imagine. I have allergy induced asthma - having a collapsed lung and still finishing? No way. Asthma is bad enough.
-
Sadly no, but it was attributed to the alignment. When they tried fixing me, it pulled on other things. It appears after they aligned me, it was pulling too hard on my SI joint, causing it to give. After that, I just learned to never do that again. But don't let me be a tale of caution - I think I'm just meant to be…

I don't deserve that much credit. I couldn't imagine functioning with a collapsed run. Oh man!

I live in a big city too. I've considered getting mace, but knowing my luck I'd spray it in my own face. Last summer, there were a lot of incidents on the lake path. It's scary. I don't think I'd feel comfortable with a gun. For now, the times I run, there's always a lot of people out and I do not run with music. Honestly,…

My hips were out of alignment too when I was competing. After they "set me straight" my hip displaced/dislocated on the final lap in the national 3000m. Holy hell pain, it literally took my breath away. Still finished, terribly... but finished. Took me 6 weeks of PT. ick.

No, nothing. But I tend to be a clumsy human and the squat rack/free weights are upstairs at my gym... one of these days after an intense leg session I could see myself falling down. As my mom always said, I could trip on air.
-
Definitely see a doctor. Maybe you have a longer leg- before, your weight compressed it enough it wasn't noticeable? I have a longer leg, but I don't really need an excuse to trip. As my mom used to say, I could trip on air. haha.

I agree with that 100%! Ew, coke makes me so thirsty, like what's the point of drinking it. I just prefer the taste of diet. It's not as sweet to me and doesn't make me thirsty. The only regular I like is pepsi, but that's because my dad drank it when I was a kid.
-
I get sick of water. I can easily down a 2 liter of diet pop in a day. It's refreshing. Now, I drink several cans of la croix. I've never been a regular soda drinker, but if I were - I'd be pretty darn close to that 700 cal a day as well. I love fizzy stuff, I can't help it.

Back pain could also be an indicator of a weak core. Obviously, if this is a nerve - something different. Try to strengthen your core, and it could help. I've also noticed if my hips are pitched back while I'm running, it causes pain in my lower back. I just have to remember to keep my hips in better alignment. I have…

Couldn't agree more

I beg to differ. That myth has been debunked. I am not hungry in the morning, so I do not eat. If it's working for you, great - but doesn't mean it's for everyone. I stay within my calorie goals just fine. I personally love snacks and have one when I want one. A cereal company in the 40's had a brilliant marketing strategy…

I don't eat breakfast often, but when I do I love egg whites with any variety of buffalo wild wings sauce or taco sauce.

The longer you do it, the longer you'll see a trend. As others have said. I only record weight when it's at a loss, but after however long I've been doing this - I figured out how my body works. Or so I think. Keep at it, 2 weeks is not enough time to make any judgements on progress yet. Give it at least a month or 6 weeks…

Hmm, if you have a food scale, I'd weight it before taking skin off - then again after and use that to log. Otherwise, just google the average amount of calories in chicken wings baked with skin on but not eaten?
-
Enchiladas and cilantro lime rice, tomorrow - pork chops and roast brussel sprouts, Thursday - spicy chicken pita and oven baked fries, Friday - adult beverages and whatever sounds good!
-
I eventually cut out breakfast and save the majority of my calories for dinner, because I love dinner. As for cravings? What do you crave usually - maybe you can trick yourself with a lower cal alternative?
-
After a hard run, sometimes my stomach is weird. Usually takes some water and chilling for a minute to send it back to normal. Do you feel this way after a workout?
-
It's personal preference. I don't like sugar in my drinks. I prefer sweetener. Also, this thread mostly talks about aspartame, but it does touch on a few other sweeteners. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1308408/why-aspartame-isnt-scary/p1 For all you claiming artificial sweetener is dangerous - take a…

You're right, but that weight holds true the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that, and the day after that.
-
You also forgot that, wrapping induced spot reducing. So that's why you can look more toned over night. hahaha, thanks for this - I'm laughing so hard. OP, I'm considering a diet break too. I lose the most weight on Saturday because I have drinks and a higher calorie meal on Friday night. Bodies are weird.

Find a good workout plan online and then youtube watch how to do each exercise. I have a strong lifting background, but a few lifts I never really did. Watch the videos, practice with them. Watch yourself in a mirror. Use minimal weight until you feel like you mastered the move. Easy peasy  Definitely what everyone…

I gotta say - I'm a member of the itty bitty titty committee. I only ever had boobs when I gained weight, I gladly wave farewell to them. Sorry OP, I understand your struggle. But at least you're not alone
-
I've only recently fell in love with curry... and I'm really sad I've missed out on it for so long in my life. Shame I know... OP - ENJOY!! Drink wine, or mixed drinks with diet/soda if you like. As for your meal ... eat until your satisfied. A normal portion of anything is rarely outrageous!

It's easy to eat the same amount of calories every day. In theory, if you do, as I said in my post above - then yes that is accurate... based on the assumption you've logged everything accurately. I have basically the same thing for lunch every day and roughly the same amount of calories for dinner, even if food varies. My…
