  • Completely. Solid choice. I might be flagged for this, but pineapple is also good to go o:) :) >:)
  • Response to the bold. You just said yourself it's not necessary to carb load and you'll beat someone that ate protein and carbs vs just your carbs. ETA: You'll have to expand the quote section to see what I made bold. And my "events" I carb load for are marathons. I would hate to run one without properly fueling before and…
  • I loved carb loading before big races, I didn't love protein loading the day of. My mom always made me eat tuna. It took me until my adult life to be able to eat it again.
  • It's really only personal preference or what fits your schedule. It might have some positive affects depending what type of eater you are. It will not make you lose weight or have any benefit to weight loss, aside from mental/emotional. Me personally, I do it everyday, but not because it's a thing. I just do by default. I…
  • I'm getting lost now. Eating healthy is fitness/retention? And eating "junk" is dieting?
  • you're impossible. @quicksilver you look incredible!
  • You beat me to it, I was going to say the same.. :D
  • Are you logging what you're eating? Since birth control messes with your hormones - it's likely increasing your appetite, so you could be eating more. I don't know anything about zoloft though, so I can't attest to that. Maybe ask your doctor that prescribed these things, and see what they suggest?
  • beer... haha. Not even kidding. I have 3 beers, I don't need dinner. But food, anytime I have a veg and a protein - I'm good.
  • lol - I didn't realize we hung out in real life and you knew anything about me. You should give up, once you start personal attacks - there's nothing else you can say that will ever be remotely credible.
  • It's sad that you are criticizing a stranger for doing what works for them. Who are you or anyone to judge someone else.
  • I have read it, and I've obviously replied based on that. It doesn't make sense. You're unwillingly to see outside your own bubble. As I said before - if that's how you want to live your life.. great you do you. But don't condemn other people and say they are killing themselves by eating processed foods. That's literally…
  • This is very disordered thinking. If you want to be extreme, sure - if you eat butter and nothing but butter, you may have a point. But eating foods that are nutritious are killing you? That kind of talk leads to disordered eating habits.
  • Obviously, but I never brought fitness in to this conversation. I was sticking strictly to dieting. You don't need to be fit to lose weight - that's solely diet. However, eating "clean" foods or foods that are not "junk/crap" by your definition - you can still be overweight. Being overweight is unhealthy. So what's your…
  • "diets" don't work or fail for some people, because they get too restrictive and cut out foods they enjoy (speaking extremely generally). so your idea of eating chicken breast and kale or whatever, is a recipe for failure. So yes, that diet would fail for vast majority.
  • For sake of argument, you are already using the highest octane. Why can't you meet all nutritious needs while eating processed foods? And, everything is processed lol. You dig up a potato - it's processed by time you eat it. Cheeseburger has iron, protein, potassium, calcium, plus other vitamins. It's cool, you do you -…
  • Why reinvent the wheel? That's like saying, my car is running perfectly, but I'm going to send it to the shop to have them rebuild the engine
  • Right - but what if I don't need 3x's the food? What if the amount I'm eating is satiating and the way I'm eating is sustainable over long term? If what I'm doing is working, why would I limit what I can eat and deny myself things and make life harder? I think you're forgetting everyone is different. If you don't want to…
  • What makes it *kitten* food though? I eat mostly processed food for lunch every day, and that easily sustains me until dinner. Last night, I had two pieces of cheese pizza and a piece of cake. I'm still content and will be until I eat my processed lunch at 12. I'm not attacking you, I'm just genuinely curious why some…
  • Ok, so you caught me in a lie. I only have 1 wiener dog, he's pretty much a cat. But I WISH I HAD 17. I beg to differ on a square footage requirement, if you add ramps and runways that run the perimeter of the ceiling, you can easily add more ruckus space. As for kale, my recipe is simple, it only has 3 steps: 1. open the…
  • Hobbies - running with my shoes untied while texting on my cell phone on a treadmill. Interest, my cats. I have 17 cats, all sleep in bed with me. I don't eat pizza, because it's "junk/bad" food. I only eat Kale. I know Kevin - he better pay me back if he know's what's good for him. If you know Kevin - tell him what I just…
  • I was conflicted - but your drawing won me over. If only we'd met in the gym, we could have contributed to this post. Next time.
  • Also, I think another great way to approach someone at the gym - just throw a cup of really cold water on them when they are mid rep, but like secretly, and when they are about to crush themselves with the weight, you're conveniently there to save them.
  • Since we're on the internet, it's probably best if you just interpret my personality and tell me how I feel while reading some lines of text. Save us both a lot of confusion, you know?
  • You really didn't have to do that! I love it!
  • I'm sorry, but that would make me so sad - only eating 3.5 triscuits haha. But they are pretty hearty - so would likely solve an hour worth of hunger issue.
  • So true. I found I'm most successful when I limit my choices. Eating relatively the same lunch every day and rotate between several dinners. I struggle on the weekends when the "world is my oyster" But I know some people can't stand to do that. My SO can't do that. If it were up to me, I'd probably eat the same thing day…
  • Great analogy. I've also learned, just being a "self-made expert", doesn't mean I don't fail at times. It's interesting to think about. We know what to do. We know how to do it. But our amazing human brains tell us otherwise at times. I currently am suffering from a squeaky bed - maybe I'll try to do something about it…
  • haha - I read your response with you being a "she". Stirring up trouble makes the day more interesting. I wish sarcasm was better interpreted through text vs. explicitly saying I'M BEING SARCASTIC :D :D
  • Kellogg's makes protein bites. You can choose how many you want to eat. They are quite good, and should carry over for an hour.
