They covered sdhps a ton in the judges course...that doesn't mean anything, but I'm thinking it's not impossible to have that pull movement in there with the push movement of a thruster
-
Your response was fine and dandy but was completely irrelevant to the previous post's argument and to my response.
-
Yes exactly
-
got my first few (strict!!) muscle ups today!
-
wouldn't have affected anything this time around. but in 5 years? when perhaps several transgendered women are competing? and a couple MIGHT actually be good enough to go to the games? then what...
-
what a bummer. I got my first few muscle ups today and was excited to be able to do at least 1 during the open wod, but sadly, 14 minutes is an unrealistic time frame to get through the row, ttb, wall balls, and cleans in time. i'm predicting i get it all up to 6 cleans. my rowing is terrible. and i'm short. ugh.
-
hopefully not thrusters AND wallballs considering they are essentially the same movement!!
-
Think about 14.3... It had an "end" to it, even though no one hit it. The rounds did not infinitely go on. If someone did, they would have used their tie break time of when they finished the last box jump.
-
It would be an amrep vs an amrap. Doesn't always have to be rounds. It can totally be a chipper within a set time frame
-
Sure it can. It would just have a time cap and tie break times for anyone who might finish
-
saw on instagram that the hint was that it's a chipper... my prediction is that we'll see TTB, burpees, and wall balls in this one. I'm thinking thrusters and muscle ups for 14.5
-
I guess we got tired of blowing our achilles...let's see how many discs we can rupture around the world! woo! "Let's combine the two movements that produce the highest injury rates" - Castro.

Legal or not she's got a natural born muscular advantage. Btw, 151 is fairly heavy for a woman who is 5'4, but it's a pretty average weight for a man of the same height. I'm 5'4 and 115#. That extra muscle weight is natural for her.
-
Completely agree tufel
-
I did it this morning, RXed, I got 60. All I wanted in life was to make it to the 2nd round in time, and I did, so everything on top of that was a great bonus lol.
-
oh my god, bless you. I am NOWHERE near elite level. I'd say i'm pretty average. you don't have to snatch it to get it up. c&j it, adjust your grip width, and start squatting! you got this!
-
oops cmay, i hadn't seen your post until just now :)
-
things that have showed up in the open every year: wall balls, muscle ups, ttb, box jumps, thrusters, pullups (c2b)
-
Completely agree, 55# is my warm-up weight but man it felt SOO heavy
-
a great improvement!

I wouldn't track it either...for the exact reasons Jordy mentions. Also, if you wear a HRM during the day when you're just sitting on the couch, it's still going to track HR and estimated calories burned. Those are calories that you will burn NO MATTER WHAT you are doing, including when you are working out... so lets say…
-
Camille, Annie, Lindsey, etc Bella? short for barbella, haha
-
100 hand release burpees for time. 7:38.
-
even light deadlifts? like just the bar? good mornings are more dangerous than deads

Deadlifts.

here's a nice read on paleo zone and how to get started with it http://crossfitfenrir.com/paleozone-dummies-part-ii-step-step-guide-started/

apples and oranges. Think of Zone as eating to be a better athlete, and think of Paleo as simply feeding your body QUALITY healthy foods. You can make a Zone meal out of a slim jim and chips (protien, fat, carbs perfectly proportioned depending on your serving size of each). It's going to fuel you great for a wod..but is…
