My daughter was diagnosed with Celiac disease 9 years ago so I have had to learn a new way to cook. She is also Type 1 diabetic which has helped a bit with diet management as she was used to having fruit for dessert so the biggest adjustment for us was the breads and pastas until we found one that tasted "like" wheat. each day is a new day and a new beginning. Never ever give up. You are going to slip up and when you do get right up and start fresh right away. MFP has a lot of wonderful positive support here to keep you motivated.

I agree. Seems to many people out there are looking for smut on a weight loss site.

I love your suggestions. We eat a lot of brown rice in our house and one of my variations is a makeshift Spanish rice with sauteed onions, green peppers, garlic and add tomatoes with a tablespoon of tomato paste for the liquid. I usually wing the recipe but there are many variation.
