  • If you're getting your protein from food alone this soon, you are doing GREAT!! I am 10 weeks out today and don't hardly get that much from my foods, I still do the shakes but I like them so it's all good. :) Sounds like you're doing good. You can customize the settings for your needs.

  • I had the sleeve done. My doctor will do the lap band but doesn't recommend it. I have a niece who had the lap band done, lost 15 pounds and gained it back. My doctor told me the lap band doesn't work for everyone. That is why he recommended the sleeve. I guess it's different for everyone, what may work for some may not…
  • I chose the sleeve, because my doctor (surgeon) told me that it gives the exact same results as the bypass but without bypassing anything....I didn't want to re route my tubes and all that. I have a wonderful surgeon, he has done many surgeries on me in the past 7 years and I fully trusted him to know which one was the…
  • Honey, this isn't your fault. Your Mom needs help! I am so sorry you are being abused like this. Just KNOW it is NOT your fault.
  • I had the sleeve on 11/5/12 For 30 years I struggled with my weight and weight related illnesses, I always thought I could do it on my own, but truth hit me square in the face when after 30 years of that thinking two of my doctors told me that I needed the weight loss surgery or I was going to die...WAKE UP CALL...yes it…

  • My doctor started me on a prescription for acid reflux 5 days prior to surgery and I have to take it for six months after surgery. I think it must be helping me as I don't have any trouble with it. You may want to ask your doctor to prescribe something for you.

  • I had the sleeve on 11/5/12 AND NO this is NOT the easy way out!!!! People who don't understand this surgery and what it can do are well...just ignorant! I am only 3 weeks post op and I can already tell you it is the BEST thing I have EVER done for myself. Congrats on you getting it done. I'll add you as a friend.
  • I'm in Texas...kinda close I guess :)
  • May 28th here...saw a few close but not on the same day!
  • Depends on what all your doctor wants you to do. Mine had me do a upper GI, a phyco visit, and a dietitian visit. Then they sent it off to insurance for approval once they got all the results back. But I think it depends on your doctor what he wants.
  • I had my sleeve on Nov. 5th, I too was scared but it was so easy!! I had no pain from the surgery just trapped air pain, which goes away. I like that, I couldn't bring my self to do the bypass and altar my body that much. My insurance is paying for mine 100% but when I talked to an insurance…
