  • I use The Muscletech 100% whey isolate protein from Sams. The rich chocolate. it mixes very well in a shaker as well as a blender, I have been using it for over a year now and still like it.
  • Never had this problem exactly... never had an accident, but when I need to go you best get out of my way :) But then I do drink a lot of fluids too...
  • I have been drinking a hot tea that has probiotics, and when I drink it I feel like I do use the bathroom more and feel much better. I am guessing it's the tea..
  • I am so proud of you, you have done wonderfully!!! This post meant for larsen626 sorry I thought it would be put under what she posted...
  • I started at a 24/26 a year ago. I am now a size 14/16 or size Large/xl depending on the style ect.. down 92 pounds
  • You should be talking to your doctor or dietitian about this. All doctors are different. But concentrate on getting your protein and the other should take care of itself... I am allowed 65 to 75 grams of protein a day, I usually get more! I am 10 months post op but at my 6 month check up my doctor told me I should be…
  • YES!! I was six months as well when it happened to me. And I started eating everything in sight and for the past three months have had a terrible time staying on track and I honestly let it go and gave in, The GOOD thing about it is, I could not eat a whole lot so in those three months I have gone up and down the same 5…
  • I had the gastric sleeve last November (2012) I was 50 years old, my only regret is that I didn't do it when I was in my 20's. !!!!! It is the best thing I have ever did in my life except ask Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. it isn't the easy way out and you still have to work at it, but it's a tool that will help you stay…
  • Enjoy your vacation and leave your scales at home...That's what I did last week when I went to my daughter's for a week...I ate badly..pizza, ice cream..you get the picture, to my surprise when I came home I had lost 3 pounds last week..GO FIGURE!!! Your pouch will not let you over eat, so just enjoy your vacation!!!
  • NO bad stuff...Only regret is I didn't have it done in my younger years...I am 51 now was 50 when I had my sleeve, best thing I EVER did in my life!!!
  • Until the person see's her/him self and realizes they need to do something about their weight there is nothing you can do except pray for them. I have a son I have no idea how much he weighs, but he is big over 300 I am guessing?! There is nothing you can say to them until they make up their own mind. I had people telling…
  • Sounds like you have it all under control. Start your vitamins, I lay mine out for all day as I can't take them all at one time, so I will remember to take them. Start trying protein shakes now to see which ones you like the best. I think you will do GREAT!!!
  • I have to say there are a lot of ignorant people out there when it comes to WLS. GET EDUCATED ON IT PEOPLE!!! The pre surgery liquid diet is to shrink your liver so the surgery will go better for the surgeon and the patient!! Just because WLS is not for you doesn't mean you should bash those who have had it! I had it in…
  • Congratulations on your surgery! I was sleeve on 11/5/12 The best thing I ever did for me!!!
  • You look great! Congratulations. How do you add pics in the body of your message?
  • YES!!! Ohh it's so embarrassing lol...I am almost 6 months post op and mine still does it...I keep thinking it's because I put too much food in it or I am eating to fast...which I tend to do lol...It's awful sometimes and I get so embarrassed sitting next to people who I think can hear it...
  • Not a good idea to compare yourself with others, I started off doing that it got VERY discouraging!!! I am 4.5 months out and I have said the same thing, I could have done this good or better without the surgery, but guess what...I would NEVER have STUCK with it!!!! The sleeve is the best thing I have EVER done, I KNOW I…
  • That is AWESOME!!!
  • I had VSG on 11/5/12 it was the best thing I ever did and it saved my life!! Friend me if you like!
  • I am almost 4 months out (had my sleeve 11/5/12) Best thing I EVER did!!! No problems whatsoever!! Surgery was a breeze no pain no nothing, I pretty much eat all things "healthy" now and my portions size are small. Lost 65 so far... It's a wonderful journey!
  • Everyone is different, and so is every doctor. I really like the Muscletech whey protein, it has 30 grams of carbs for one scoop, makes a 8 oz glass. I prefer mine in water!!! I tried milk but I am lactose intalerant so that didn't work too well. But in water it's GREAT!!! It's a rich chocolate flavor, and to me it tastes…
  • Congrats, it's exciting!!!!
  • Glad everything went well, I had no pain or nausea or anything. Sorry you had trouble with meds and going under. You're lucky you lost I gained like 9 pounds I think while in the hospital from IV fluids.
  • Excited for you! You'll do great!!!
  • That sounds and looks amazing!!! Thanks.
  • I wasn't eating that many calories three weeks out...but then my doctor still had me on clear liquids. I am just now getting between 400 to 600 I said 500 to 600 but some days it's only in the 400's I am almost 3 months post op, still on soft foods.
  • At my last appointment six weeks ago I asked my nutritionist how many calories I should be eating in a day and fat and carbs etc, just wanted to make sure I was doing everything OK. She told me not to worry about any of that that the only thing I should be concerned with is my protein amount between 65 and 75 grams a day,…
  • I sometimes feel the same way... but I also am never hungry, unless it's been many hours between meals. But the way I do my meals with my protein shakes as a snack between my meals, I never am hungry, I have to remind myself it's time to eat some food lol
  • Truthfully, I have no clue on this. BUT SERIOUSLY why in the world would anyone want to drink it anyway when you're trying to lose weight and or maintain!!!! This is a lifestyle change and we need to do it for LIFE!!! STAY AWAY FROM THE SODA'S they're not good for you anyway!!!!
  • I started off using Leslies DVD's and still will use them on raining days...but now I am out walking 5 miles four days a week and today added some jogging to it...I'm training for my first 5K in may..which I know I can do...I think for now your swimming and some light walking with some arm movements like in Leslies DVD's…
