  • You look fabulous so if you're comfortable with it, I say go for it. I know that some gyms have dress codes, so you might want to check in to make sure you're not breaking any rules, but I figure it's your comfort that matters.

  • It's never too late!
  • I know. So inspirational! Now I feel really guilty about complaining about being tired and sore.
  • I know it's a weird texture for a lot of people, but I eat it just like it is. Sometimes straight out of the container. Keep in mind that, IMO, flavor can vary a whole lot between brands with some being much better than others.
  • Drinking lots of water (10+ glasses a day) and working out more (without makeup on, of course) has seemed to make some real improvements in my skin.
  • Do you have hand weights or something that you know that weight of? It'd give you an idea of which one is more accurate if you could weight something on each.
  • Under the boobs. Mine hits right where the bottom strap of my sports bra is.
  • Great progress! You have every reason to be proud!
  • I have a long day tomorrow so I'm going to post a day early and assume you'll forgive me. I was stuck for awhile so I only lost 2 pounds over the month so I wasn't really expecting to see a lot of difference except for my terrible tan lines.
  • There are also "actual" colleges that offer online programs depending on what you're looking for. I'm working on a second degree through Oregon State doing it all online and my degree will be identical to having attended classed on the campus.
  • That's because this is delicious. Around here everyone dips their fries in mayo which I think is gross.
  • MFP will automatically adjust your calories (I think every 10 pounds) to account for a decreasing BMR as you lose weight.
  • Levis and Gap both offer "curvy" lines in a variety of rises and washes that leave room in the hips, thighs and rear without being huge in the waist. Bonus for me is that the GAP version come in long and extra-long too!
  • Probably not.
  • This is wrong. Your BMR is the amount of calories you burn every day just staying alive. If you were in a coma, your body would still use your BMR. Since you're moving around and typing, I'm going to say it's safe to assume you're not in a coma so you need to ALWAYS eat above your BMR to give your body enough calories to…
  • Go for it! I take Zumba twice a week and there are people of all sizes, ages and ability levels. If you teacher is any good at all, they will show lower and higher impact variations of the moves; just listen to your body.
  • I have a half sleeve and when I first talked about getting it several of my friends did the whole "it's not feminine..." thing but once I did it, they all realized that it's perfectly me. While I certainly do get looks sometimes, I figure if someone wants to judge me negatively based on my arm then they're really not…
  • I do. I work out 3-5 days a week minimum doing both cardio and strength and I'm 6 feet tall so their calculations have me eating 2362 calories a day. Initially I had a slight gain (no more than a normal water weight fluctuation but that hung around for several days) but I think that had a lot to do with what I was eating…
  • Happy Monday, Ravenclaws! My work schedule this week is almost normal (only two long days of travel) so I hope I'll be able to make better food choices and even have some time for the gym. My knees are pretty swollen from Friday still but I'm thinking about going to a yoga class tonight for a full body stretch to start the…
  • It gets harder to lose when you're close to your goal. If you open your diary it might make it easier to get suggestions.
  • Interesting perspective. It makes some sense but I'm not sure I totally believe it just yet.
  • You look smoking hot. Feel free to send me that image in the mirror anytime!
  • This is amazing! Congrats! This week has been really challenging for me because of my crazy work schedule and my classes starting up again. I've been under carbs but I haven't had overall healthy food choices because I've been on the go so much. I have some time off this afternoon so hopefully I can catch up on homework…
  • Hello Ravenclaws! Hope everyone is having a great week. I ended up with a 12 hour shift yesterday with lots of running around so my food choices weren't great (I had a cinnamon roll and chai for dinner because my last venue was unexpectedly changed to a coffee shop...) But today is a more normal day and I'm heading to the…
  • I agree with being horribly jealous! That sounds amazing.
  • I'm a pear but I do have more up top to balance it some. Chest- 39 Waist- 30 Hips- 42
  • What are your calories at? Your body could be telling you you're not eating enough. If you don't have much to lose, you should be aiming at .5 pounds a week. It could also be what you're eating... More protein and complex carbs would fuel your body better and make you feel full longer.
  • There are a plethora of gluten free cook books and recipe sites. I use rice and potato products (breads, flour, pasta, starch, etc.) and I know a lot of wheat-free stuff substitutes corn starches instead. If you have a local healthy-foods market they could probably point you to the wheat (or gluten-free) version of…
  • Thank you; I needed this today. :explode:
  • I'm 6ft and I'm looking at 150-160 (I'll see when I get there) but I want to be fit rather than skinny.
