  • I just made these! Very good, I used half a cup of honey. I got 14 good size balls and the calorie count was 171! Delicious, sweet treat with a glass of milk! I think I just found my new afternoon snack!

  • I am so sorry this happened to you. This is exactly the reason that people are afraid to work out at a gym! I'm lucky not to have experienced this out right. It may have happened but I didn't notice, of course the trainers and instructors are just so happy to see me that if they noticed I think that person may have been…

  • HI, smoothies in the morning with protein powder, fruit, yogurt and milk. I do an egg cupcake (eggs cheese broccoli, mushrooms) and bake them ahead of time so I just nuke them quick. I have had quiche, leftovers from supper, and cold lentil salad with leftover chicken thigh, or breast for lunch.
  • HI, I understand completely, there are some days where I am stumped as to what to have for lunch and snacks at work. And that is when the cafeteria calls my name. I have 2 snacks during the morning while I am at work, the first one is usually 1 cup of fruit with 3/4 cup of yogurt. Second break I am having a kiwi and half a…
  • Sometimes kids who are so good at school etc, act up at home to let off steam. It can be pretty hard work behaving for others all the time. That's what our OT told us at a sensory workshop. I try to let our girl have time to be herself especially when she has been at therapy all day. It'll get better!
  • I'm just glad that our girl eats! GF/CF would take away everything that she likes to eat! The only ways I would change her diet are less junk and I would really like her to eat more fruits and veggies. I have heard several times from our pediatrician that the diets are ineffective.
  • HI, I hvae been gettign the Skinny B from Holy Crap for approx a year now at my local health food store. I like Skinny B, I add it to my oatmeal in the morning. Haven't tried the other types. http://www.stcatharinesstandard.ca/2010/11/26/is-holy-crap-cereal-milking-the-hype It's a Canadian company we should be able to…
  • HI, I have the same issues, but we shop at Farmers Markets, buy in bulk and freeze portions. Also Costco has good prices on meats and frozen veggies. I like to buy my eggs from the farmers market, free range, flax fed for almost the same price as regular eggs from the grocery store, and we know they are fresh. Go to the…
  • It's a very good tool. Can also be used as a weight bench for chest/ back work, works your abs and core while doing so. Can be used for physio therapy exercises for your back. And is just plain fun at any age to bounce on.
  • I've had planar fascitis twice and achilles tendonitis twice as well. Orthotics might be an answer. Hopefully you have benefits through work to cover them, they can be pricey, but worth it. Perhaps also break up your cardio time with the recumbant bike and not focus too much on weight bearing exercise too much at this…
  • Try Progressive Harmonized Protein. The whey protein comes from New Zealand made by happy cows out in the sunshine eating grass as nature intended. The sweetness comes from Stevia and it tastes great. 2 flavours vanilla and chocolate. There is also an organic variety. http://www.progressivenutritional.com/ Hope this helps…
  • @ ninerbuff -- great points and I do feel that you get it! I have lots of work on myself to do and eventually it will all come around. Accepting and talking about my feelings will make all the difference for me. I still journal my downfalls and keeping the journal is helping me see patterns. (ON the bright side, I did…
  • I work at a job in a factory where I stand most of the day and wave my arms really fast LOL. But when the line is down, I do pushups off the machine, squats, leg and calf raises and wall sits. My coworkers and I have even done some tai chi moves to fill in the time. Just little things here and there but it adds up.
  • "So if you're happy with how you eat, then why the binging? Binging happens when people WANT more then they aren't getting in most cases. " @ ninerbuff -- Good point Yes I agree with "binging happens when people want more than they are getting", but it's not necessarily food that they aren't getting enough of. Emotional…
