Lunch is homemade vegetable soup with ground turkey (thank you crock pot) with fruit for snack. If I get really sugar crave-y there's an emergency Larabar in my desk.

I'm with you, protein bars make me feel bloated & gross and they're processed as hell. Easier to digest, give me a break. There's no one-rule-to-fit-all-bodies. Listen to your body. What does YOUR body feel better eating? I thing you're making great nutritional decisions, myself.

I'm the same way, and it tends to be set off by allergies as well. Given that the pollen count is sky-high in my area right now, I'm wheezing through workouts. I have a rescue inhaler, and am leaning on it far more than usual. I'm also taking Claritin to see if controlling the allergies will help. I'm working out but at a…

Yes, not really by choice. I was a single parent and my child was seriously ill, so I didn't date for the duration of her treatment (Several years.)

I work for a manufacturer of high-quality sexual health devices....so I sell sex toys for a living. (I manage their small webstore and handle customer questions.) It's not as salacious as it sounds, and it's fairly sedentary so that is not ideal. But the hours are flexible, so I can usually get out for a workout at…

That I work in a factory that makes sex toys. I look like a PTA mom, and I dress like a librarian.

I agree - wanna be friends? I'm also 39 (40 in Dec.) and my first goal is to lose 45. At which point I may see if I can maintain for a while prior to going further. I live in Nevada.

Thanks for the pick-me-up, friends! I appreciate it.

I'm so, so glad you caught this early. My daughter's a cancer survivor (not colon but another type) and getting it found early was key to her treatment. I am sending you all the best, really.

Mine are big, the 18-19" range. I'm not thrilled about them, but what are you gonna do? Hopefully they'll go down at least a little with the weight loss. Anything's possible. Except maybe knee-high boots.

My kids and I are making homemade pizza & salad for dinner, and watching The Princess Bride, which is less smooshy than average. "Life is pain! Anyone who says differently is selling something." Love that movie.

Me: 9 Binge 1 So far so good. I'm cautiously optimistic.

No good advice, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. Am sending my best to you & your kiddo.

That made me giggle! I don't collect evidence, they should have fun with Dad and be close and all that. But confession: there is a teeny tiny petty part of me that notices that my ex has put on considerable weight. And that horrible corner of my soul is downright gleeful about that.

I have two kids, with two separate custody arrangements. Daughter (11) is with me almost full-time. Dad lives in another state, so she only can go visit when school's out of session. He was not involved at all for a number of years but has definitely made more of an effort the last few. Son, almost 3, is on a 50/50…

Oh yeah, I am in this boat. I have two kids, an almost 11 year old daughter who is with me full-time, and a 2 year old son who is on a 50/50 timeshare with me & his dad. I have pretty much given up on trying to get any workouts in when Junior is home. Luckily, my daughter is old enough that she manages better when I try to…

Single mom here, too - two kids. My daughter is 10 and my son is 2. And I'm also in Northern NV. Would love a new MFP friend if anyone's interested.

I'm always open to new friends :)
