Wow. Congratulations to the both of you. Two of my best friends just got married and did a weight loss program before. Tell your fiancée that it is going to be more frustrating for her. Guys tend to shed pounds a lot faster than girls. So don't let that get you down!

you've probably put your body into starvation mode by not eating enough. Eat your 1200 and at least half of your exercise calories and you should start losing again. Or try a different workout routine.

I prefer to avoid sweetener substitutes as much as possible. and I generally work out every day so I've got calories to be consumed so i don't mind having. Plus i like organic products. :)

MFP says there's no sodium in the Nectar but i don't have a bottle on hand to verify. Other than that, it's just the sodium that in the tap water used. which makes about 2 sodium whatevers per serving.

If you're like me, I don't like something that I have to keep up with. You could do a salt water flush which only takes a couple hours of your time and it's a one time deal. I prefer it that way rather than torturing myself with an even more restricted diet. http://www.colonzone.org/salt-water-flush.php

I usually stay away from beer just because it can add up so quickly. But if i do drink it, it's usually and Bud Select 55 (55calories) or a Mich Ultra/Miller Lite (both at 95 cal). My friend seems to prefer MGD 64, but i'm not into it. All of the good beers have way more calories... i miss them. Hope this helps.

pasta + bread + dessert + soda = calories galore. Don't be fooled by the amount. Think about what you are actually eating and you'll be surprised. I hardly ever drink soda and only take dessert if i've been REALLY good the whole day. Pasta has also been something i tend to avoid unless i portion it into small amounts.

Nature's Own makes things called sandwich rounds that are only 100 calories each. They are fantastic. They also make "lite" breads that are usually around 70 calories a slice. I tend to avoid bread usually but i'll spring for bagels after a good workout since a whole wheat one is only 200 calories.

A calorie is a measurement of energy. So, yes, they are all the same. However, fats are not. The "junk food" you're probably avoiding is full not only of calories, but fats and probably lots of sodium. Eating a piece of fruit is definitely the better option because it has vitamins and such in it. However, the calories…

It's hard. Things happen. Good food comes along. My friend brought over pizza and fried oreos the other day for dinner. I left, went to the gym for an hour, and came back and rewarded myself...relatively. Some indulgences are ok. I always plan for them and do some extra work at the gym though. :-)
