I drink a protein shake for lunch and use almond or rice milk instead of water. I add in 1/2 a frozen banana which thickens the shake, as well as some frozen berries. This keeps me full for hours and it's great after a workout.

Completely agree. You need to get an HRM because even when you do the same fitness test again you won't burn the same amount of calories because your intensity may increase. Each workout will be different so your best bet is to invest in an HRM. I have one with a chest strap which I think gives the most accurate reading.…

What type did you buy? Does it have a chest strap? The best brand is Polar and you should have one with a chest strap because it will give you a more accurate reading. I am in my 2nd month of Insanity and yeah it's tough but such a great workout!!! You will definately need to hydrate and find some type of replenishing formula to help you get through the workouts. I am on Insanity as well and I really love it. It's definately a tough workout and I am in the 2nd month with just over a week to go to complete it. Shaun T really keeps you motivated and he always stresses the importance of stretching and doing it properly so you don't injure yourself.

The best thing to do if you want an accurate reading is to get a heart rate monitor. I have one and they are fantastic because they will give you your accurate amount of calories burned for any exercise you do. No worries we all need to vent sometime. I know what you mean about 1200 calories I've yet to hit that. I have that as my limit but I usually eat around 1400-1600 which is alright because I work it off and then some. Good luck with your fast.

Hello, I also hit a plateau when I started. One week I would lose weight and then gain most of it back the following week. It's taken me 2 months to get over the plateau so don't give up!!! Believe me I felt like it at times but I never did and I'm glad I stuck it out.
