I joined in Feb 2012 and needed to loose about 14lbss. I achieved that back before the summer and a bit more. I'm currently maintaining and have managed to keep my weight off. It does fluctuate up and down by a few pounds but I'm comfortable with that. MFP has really educated me with my eating, got some nasty surprises in…

Thank you again. I have now included this in 'Favourites'. Really helpful!

Thanks for this will have a look now.

And also take your measurements. I agree MFP is a great site to really help you focus. It's really helped me learn the different values of the foods I eat. Good luck!

I use milled flaxseed and use it to make turkey burgers. Flaxseed is low in carbs, its a healthy fat and is high in fibre.

Perhaps get your body fat % measured and also is your waist size in line or smaller than the recommendations for a women? Doctors don't always go by BMI alone.

I've watched the first two programmes now and I am enjoying it. I have got the recipes from the website and will definately be trying them out!

Mine as set by MFP are: Carbs 179 Fat 43 Protein 49 Sugar 21 Sat fat 13 And I'm always over on sugar but as it's usually from fruit and veg I don't worry too much!

Use a tape measure. You could be losing inches instead of weight.

51 and lost 15lbs. Quite happy where I am now although would love to lose a couple of inches off the waist! Am cycling and doing Zumba now.

Was totally shocked when I saw how many calories a bottle of wine clocked up! Added to that I'd have a big bag of Doritos with it and found I'd consumed a over a days food in one evening! I still have a glass or two if I fancy it but try to stick to spirits with a diet mixer now.

I'll bet she can't keep up 90 days of not eating much. You're doing the right thing, keep it up!

Me too!

Bump! Got a friend who has done it 3 times now, lost 4 stone each time, and then every single time put it straight back on again, Tried telling her she's not educating herself but to no avail.

I have porridge every 3rd day and make it with 40g of oats, 100mls skimmed milk, 150mls water, teaspoon cinnamon powder and 1 tsp of sugar substitute and it's 142 cals, which I'm ok with.

I agree with Bexilon, watch the sugar e.g. muffins, granola etc., go for fruit and veg which give you enough sugars. Hope it helps.

Well done you. You're doing great!

Totally agree. I've ate what the mfp says and have not stagnated at all. I've gradually lost weight and am almost at my target now.
