  • Hmm...it's one of the ingredients in my shampoo and conditioner. I doubt that I'd ingest it though...the acai berry supplement, not my hair products, I mean. I'll just stick to healthy eating and running. Good luck to you though!
  • I was never a runner either but C25K is so awesome, I can safely say that I am now. I started in late February and breezed through the program quickly...I actually was doing two of the program weeks in one week's time. I ran my first 5K at Week 5 (early April). I wasn't fast but I got it done! I'm on Week 8 Day 2 now and I…
  • I log my vitamins everyday, but none of them have calories. Hmmm...
  • I've found, so far, that the positive stuff FAR outweighs the others. I have always had a very round face which I think helped me look younger...but only because, to me, it looked like I still had a cute, baby fat face. I'll take the thinner, more angular face that I have now...even if it means I look closer to my age. At…
  • Welcome! Work hard! Learn lots! Good luck!
  • Even if it speeds up metabolism, helps with weight loss, prevents Cancer (?) and alters your insulin levels, I don't know that I want to deprive my body of anything that it needs to function...even in the short term. Just my opinion, obviously, but I'll stick to a healthy balanced diet and exercise. To each his own!…
  • I'm so glad you made the steps towards a lifestyle change. You will get there...it may not be easy but making this decision is a tremendous step. I support you and encourage you! :flowerforyou:
  • My boys are named after the same hockey player: Owen Nolan. Owen Bradley is 14. Nolan Thomas is 9. They both LOVE their names! Good luck!
  • I bought Nike sports bras from the running store. They were expensive but they keep the girls in place without giving me a uni-boob. :drinker:
  • I get it occasionally and it usually is when I have something heavy on my head. I have found that melatonin helps me a lot! I would only take all natural products so I can't comment about any others. Sweet dreams, hopefully!
  • I'm on my final week...and I have loved it since day 1! I have never been a runner but I cruised through the 9 weeks of C25K in less than 6 weeks. I am now addicted to running. I ran my first 5K at week 5...my time wasn't great but I finished! It was a major accomplishment to me. I just turned 39 last week and I feel like…
  • I'm in. I'm going to try to do them during my lunch break at work...I NEVER do ab work and I know I need to start so today is the day! Thanks for the challenge! I will let you know!
  • Awesome! You look great! And, Moody Gardens is beautiful! It's been years since I've been there!
  • Mmm...bacon... Here goes: 1. That all the delicious things in life were actually fat and calorie free. 2. That my 14 yo son's gf's parents would move her to...Southeast Asia, maybe? 3. That stretch marks went away as you lost weight...
  • 1. My ex-husband. 2. My hair. 3. My 14 yo son's gf. 4. My growling stomach...I forgot to bring breakfast. :ohwell: 5. The fact that I have to be at work until 3pm today.
  • Death by Chocolate Mousse cake yesterday...but it was my birthday and birthday calories don't count -- just like broken cookies! The good news is that I ate that delicious dessert and didn't gain an ounce. God bless metabolism! :drinker:
  • True. Once when I was driving home at night when I was 16, I followed a firetruck all the way to my driveway...very scary. I was sure I had left my curling iron on and it was my fault that house was on fire. Turns out my 10 year old sister thought it would be a good idea to make s'mores in the fireplace for my other…
  • Hey...me too! And, then I eat something salty or spicy...

  • My first car was actually a boat...a 13' Boston Whaler when I was 12 years old. We grew up on the water. I used to take my boat out into the C&D Canal and watch the big barges go by...EXTREMELY dangerous. My friends and I all used to sneak out at night and cruise all over the river at all hours of the night...we never got…

  • Oh my...SMAsssshhhhhhhhh!
  • Screw them. And, then, don't let them get under your skin EVER again! :flowerforyou:
  • 1200 calories B.E. (before exercise) here, too. I average a 1-2 pound a week loss. But I also eat back my exercise calories...and I run A LOT! It sounds like you are well versed in the healthy eating aspect so my only advice is that exercise and movement on a regular basis will get you where you really want to be for your…
  • I never worry about natural sugars in fruit and veggies, though I do try to consume fruit early in the day. My sugar numbers are always over, but if I subtract out these sugars, I'm usually fine. I just don't consume anything that has added sugar to it...or, eww, fructose syrup!? Blah!
  • I can't pull off short hair (very round face no matter what size I am) so I keep mine long, layered and maintained. And, downstairs, I maintain a Hilter.
