Maybe average your Fitbit readings and start there? I think that's what I would do anyway. Also I always find the last 10 lbs or so very hard to lose while nursing, but my body will do anything it can to maintain my supply, including thwart my weight loss efforts, lol. Nonetheless, the ONLY reason I'm okay with a little…

OMFG you're RIGHT. Out of thousands of members I've seen a handful say this is the best thing ever and they have lost soooooo much weight. The rest are all either gaining weight and freaking out or gaining weight and waxing philosophical about it. I measured this morning and some of my measurements are up, my weight is…

If say you probably need a full reset after 4 years of LCD but you know your body best and need to do what makes sense to you. I'm on week six of an eight week reset and I don't like any of the changes in my body so far. Physically and mentally I felt MUCH better back when I was doing tons of cardio and netting 500-900. I…

^^^ Yep, you melt it first. Melts super easy, in the summer my kitchen hovers around 80° and my coconut oil is pretty much liquid in the jar all summer long. :flowerforyou:

Thanks for all the awesome advice guys! What I did this morning was take my TDEE and subtract my average daily workout calories (roughly 400) and use the remaining number (1550) as my pseudo-goal so I can watch my exercise calories rack up and then gleefully eat them all back at the end of the day when I'm the most hungry.…

I haven't synced mine yet but just going off the tracker itself the last two days I was surprised to find I've been pretty spot-on with what I had worked out going by NROLFW method. 19-21k range. Sweet! Love this thing already! I'm at 12,047 steps for today and it's 11:15 pm-ish. Not bad.
-
The tweaking numbers thing is golden, lol. I am probably gonna go that route. I don't know, as soon as I started eating again I stopped caring what I ate, or how much, or what the consequences were. I rarely binged before, now I'm bingeing all the time. I have completely lost my self discipline it seems. I'm trying to get…

Yeah I'm no less confused now than I was last night or this morning. I think I'm just going to go back to my old way of logging on MFP and hope it all syncs over onto Fitbit. I have to do all my food & activity logging on my Android phone and can only sync intermittently when I lug my MacBook to some wifi hotspot. Logging…

I've had mine for months but am only now able to use it, just set it up last night at 9:30 pm and I wondered the same thing. Hope someone knows the answer. :grumble:

Yep, type in 'breastfeeding' like you would a food item (I usually log it under the last meal of the day), a bunch of different options will come up for you to choose from depending on the age of your baby and if you're exclusively breastfeeding/pumping or if you're giving your baby formula half the time or if your baby is…

Here, here - 35, in the best shape of my life and only getting better. :D

Love it. Makes sense and making sense makes it do-able. :)

I'd much rather meet Marcos, they sound sexy, I meet calories all the time, they just get me in trouble. ;)

I had a boyfriend start that *kitten* in the middle of sex. My blood went absolutely fcking cold, like but only was I profoundly disturbed by it, but I was srsly pissed off. We broke up a few weeks later, not solely because of that incident but to be honest there was no recovering from it, either. :P

All very good questions, stuff I've been wondering as well. I'm just shy of 5' 2”, weigh 123 lbs, 24% BF, 35 years old. I'm aiming for 20% BF. I'm lifting heavy so I don't really worry about gaining scale weight as long as I'm building muscle and losing inches, kwim? I currently wear a snug 5/6 but would LOVE to be in a…
-
I have one but it's worthless for weight lifting, sadly, because I lift heavy and would love to get an accurate burn.
-
I was given a Fitbit as a gift but half my workouts are lifting heavy and I'm constantly picking up/carrying around my 27 lb baby, unfortunately neither my Fitbit nor my Polar FT4 are useful for that kind of exercise. :(
-
Trust neither because they're both quite wrong. You could get a heart rate monitor (Amazon has the Polar FT4 for $60 with free shipping), but heart rate monitors are only accurate for cardio (they will way overestimate when you lift). Really for accuracy you'd need to get a BodyBugg or a Body Fit Media-type device (not a…

Well that freaks me out. I can't afford a BFM and I'm assuming the BB is yet more expensive...yet I have a sneaky suspicion Scooby runs high no matter which activity level you fall into. I'm incredibly neurotic about this eating business and I wish to God I could figure out my ACTUAL TDEE so I could at least have some idea…
-
I'm on week five of my full reset and I'm STILL starving all day every day. I never dreamed 2000 calories/day wouldn't make me puking full, but it doesn't. I could probably eat another 1000 before I actually felt full. Its crazy.
-
Bumping hoping someone can double check my activity level for me :flowerforyou:

This ^^^ is an awesome thread, is there any way we can subscribe to threads we like on MFP so we can reference them later?
-
Oh dang, that would probably help huh? Okay here are my stats: Female 35 years old 123 lbs two weeks ago (I only weigh 1/month) 5 ft 1.5 in Goal weight 115 lbs but my heart isn't set on it if I could just fit into a size 3 I wouldn't care what the scale says lol
-
The difference should say 127, not 167, so it's my current 2000 cal vs 2127. Sorry. :blushing:
-
Yup, I just take the average of the two for each limb. :)
-
Girl, if you're losing inches does it even MATTER what the scale says? I would give anything to see inches come off this body, to have my tiny jeans be getting looser instead of tighter. Size is WAY more important than weight because that's what you have to look at every single time you pass a reflective surface. I'd say…

Believe me when I tell you they will insist it's all in your head and that you must be doing something wrong with your eating/exercising habits because there is no possible way Mirena can cause systemic effects as the hormones are (theoretically) only active locally.
-
Depo can cause SEVERE weight gain in some women in spite of the literature and clinicians insisting otherwise, it DOES. I had the Mirena and gained and gained on it while my eating habits hadn't changed whatsoever. I was told again and again the Mirena could not *possibly* be the cause as the hormones are not circulated…

Omg I wanna try! I wanna try! What's the best starter vid??
