Man, WW hates how I eat, lol
I track on Weight Watchers and My Fitness Pal and I swear I run out of daily "points" on WW lonnnnng before I hit 1200 calories on MFP...what on earth?!

weird theoretical dating question...
So this guy I had the worst crush on back-in-the-day (he never knew it) and I talk a little here & there on Facebook. He's married now and I have the utmost respect for that fact so it's never flirty AT ALL, just friendly. Anyway he mentioned he can't have kids because of surgery he had in the past and so they're going to…

it's supposed to be BS but I swear...
I know it's considered a big fat myth but I swear taking multivitamins makes me hungry beyond reason. If I skip it a few days my appetite plummets, when I resume them I'm voracious within a few days again. WTH?? (Yes I know if I ate strictly clean I wouldn't even have to post crap like this, lol, but I don't so I'm sure I…

Cathe's STS series - questions
I have been mildly obsessed with getting Cathe's STS series, but even buying them 1 set at a time it is incredibly, possibly to the point of being irresponsible, expensive for me. So, I'm wondering if the series can be repeated with heavier weights (since obviously your 1RM would increase)? If I could just keep using them…

Help a girl out....
Anyone know of a 12 week strength training program using only dumbbells/barbells? Everything I've found assumes you have access to at least a few other pieces of equipment, which I do not. :P

Scooby doesn't play well with my 'Droid :(
I think Scooby gets a little screwy when accessed via smartphone. Without changing anything but the macro settings I got entirely different numbers. First it said: BMR - 1303 TDEE - 1902 5% Cut - 1807 Then I played with the macros a bit (changing none of the other data) and then it switched to: BMR - 1211 TDEE - 1665 5%…

Where's the MFP crunchy mama/daddy tribe???
Am I the only hardcore ”crunchy” (or weird depending on who reads this lol) mama around here? Where my cloth diaperin', baby wearin', BFing, BLWing, ECing, EBFing, home birthing, etc etc people at?? Anyone??

Just added this to my water and love it
I can only drink so much straight water before I just get sick to death of it and stop drinking. I don't replace it with anything either so I'm probably dehydrated frequently, which now that I think about it might be why I'm always so freakin hungry, lol. I tried Crystal Light Pure but I can't find it anymore and aspartame…

I'm so over it.
I miss seeing my NET calories go down when I workout. I'm finding my motivation to do any form of exercise dwindling as is my interest in MFP and calorie counting. Like without the instant gratification of seeing the effort pay off in reduced NET it all feels boring and pointless. It's not a fun game anymore it's just…

Was your actual TDEE per BB/BFM higher or lower?
I've been trying to figure out an accurate TDEE estimate for myself and struggling, I have a notebook with pages of figures based on various research models and my head is swimming. I have a Fitbit and a Polar FT4 but neither is accurate for weight lifting and that makes up half my workouts right there. Before I shell out…

just when I thought I had it right...
How exacting does one have to be with this TDEE business? I just got a tad neurotic and averaged my BMR, TDEE and cut from each of the 4 research models for '3-5 hour' and '5-6 hour' activity levels because I think I average somewhere between the two, then I averaged both sets if numbers together and came up with a TDEE…

can I do this?
I'll preface this by saying I already know HRMs are not meant to track calories all day like a Fitbit or Body Media, etc. I *get* it. My question is, can I just leave the strap on all day so I can record impromptu workouts like a spur of the moment game of tag in the park with my kids? It seems like a PITA to have to fetch…

is this why I feel so heavy & blah now?
Anybody see/use this TDEE calculator: http://www.iifym.com/tdee-calculator It seems like it would be more accurate since it asks more specific activity questions. According to this my TDEE is 240 calories/day less than on Scooby! It's setting my TDEE is roughly what Scooby would have me at the 15% cut. Maybe this why I…

appetite suppressants?
Does anyone use appetite suppressants on occasion? I'd only be using them 7-10 days at the most each month. Just to get me through that I-will-kill-anyone-who-comes-between-me-and-food temporary loss of sanity phase. Any recommendations?

sluggish, unmotivated, heavy, cumbersome...
I feel like a big heavy old cow during my workouts now. I don't feel like working out at all to be honest. I pretty much stayed in a chair or on the couch all day, haven't gone for a walk with the kids in weeks, I just feel sluggish. I feel like I did before I started losing weight, actually which is what scares me. I was…

long *ss freak out rant sorry
Ok I've read the stickies, watched all the videos and thought I could trust this process but I am on the verge of a total breakdown right now. Looking back thru my food logs I see that my version of the 1200 cal diet MFP originally assigned to me was more like EAT 15-1600 and EXERCISE my net down to 5-900. I've always been…

a few lifting heavy questions
For right now ”lifting heavy” means roughly 15 lb dumbbells because that's where I'm at, I know it seems ridiculous but I'm just being honest, lol. I think I'll bump up to 20s relatively son tho. For my legs I'm pairing 10 lb ankle weights with 5 lb ankle weights which pretty much swallows every inch of shin space and a…

Which is the better value or do they both suck?
Okay I have a Fitbit I can't use because I don't have internet/my laptop is broken/can't afford to fix it etc. anyway I guess what I really need is a good dependable heart rate monitor. I'm really not able to spend $100 and Best Buy has the Garmin fr60 and the Polar ft4 in stock for under $90. Can anyone advise me on which…

activity level wrong? and how do I stop this cycle?
I think I may have factored myself into the wrong activity level, I chose 'moderate' because I don't play sports so I don't have 4 hour practices, don't work a hardcore physically active job, so yeah, I must be moderate, right? BUT I AM STARVING ALL THE TIME. I find myself 2-300 cal over goal (1843) almost daily. Do I sat…

Will this work without working out?
Am I understanding this correctly: if I eat my cut value (TDEE -15%) every day I should slowly lose weight whether I work out or not?? Because I'm super tired tonight and would like to go to bed early but won't if I need to work my way back down to BMR to keep things trending in the right direction.

I suck at this.
I'm afraid EM2LM is not doing wonders for my psyche. I'm not a clean eater, have no real desire to be (just being honest) so I'm thinking it's not for me, maybe. I can see it being awesome for someone who loves vegetables, but I'm not that person. I'd rather eat far less of food I enjoy then tons of food I have to choke…

Is there anything out there like Fitbit but...
...will sync to a smart phone? I don't have internet, or, frankly, even a working computer right now. Not sure when that will change, either. I have a Fitbit Ultra given to me as a gift by a friend, but obviously without a computer I'm limited in what I can do, even the time is wrong on it and I can't change it. Ugh. I…

should I drop my activity level setting and recalculate?
I'm using my Fitbit by itself since I don't possess a working computer. Anyway, my burn yesterday according to my Fitbit was 1787. If I keep getting similar numbers throughout the week and then average them together, should I drop my activity level setting and recalculate my TDEE? No way I should be eating 2000 calories if…

not sure how to reassure her....
So I'm trying to get my sister onboard with the EM2LM concept and she is really struggling. She got her BMR and TDEE from Scooby and her TDEE-15% is 1878. This is the text she just sent me: ”I feel like if I ate my 1878 cals I would be eating just like i was before dieting” I want to reassure her but I'm so new myself I'm…

Estimating, averaging and eating ?'s
I'm getting different BMR and TDEE quotes from everywhere. Calorieline: REE - 1179, TDEE - 1566 Scooby: BMR - 1294, TDEE - 2007 Fit Girls: BMR - 1293, TDEE - 2004 Cordianet: BMR - 1265, TDEE - 1961 I want to be as accurate as possible so should I average them, or is one site more reliable than another or...? And does…

I'm new, scared and have questions
Hi everyone! I'm new to this group (and this concept) and I've been reading like a fiend here but I have a few questions. Background: I had been losing weight slowly slowly on my own without really watching calories I was just doing the 'Breakfast Like a King...' Thing. I found MFP in mid-Feb and was directed to the…

What just happened here??
I lost a lot of weight on MFP's recommended 1200 cal/day goal but after a few months I started feeling run down, my face looked tired and drawn and I lost so much hair you could see my scalp in places. I'm at my original goal weight but still need to lose a lot of fat in my *kitten* so I want to keep burning off fat until…
