a few lifting heavy questions

For right now ”lifting heavy” means roughly 15 lb dumbbells because that's where I'm at, I know it seems ridiculous but I'm just being honest, lol. I think I'll bump up to 20s relatively son tho. For my legs I'm pairing 10 lb ankle weights with 5 lb ankle weights which pretty much swallows every inch of shin space and a bit of my lower knee, lol. ANYWAY for now I'm able to get by with my cheapo Golds Gym adjustable dumbbell set but I'm assuming I'm going to need to invest in something a little more hardcore eventually. I've been seeing people selling weight benches, some with weights included for between $100-200 on craigslist, would this be a logical next step for me? I'm under 5' 2”, is there anything us shorties need to look for or avoid in used weight benches? Going to a gym is straight up not an option for my financial & family situation right now so I need to be able to do all this at home.

    Oh yeah, most def~
Read reviews about the different benches on Amazon or ebay, many are not built for shorter people (below 5'6"). Your feet may not reach the ground and you need that stability when you bench press. Also check the gap between upper and lower pads, should be no greater than 1.5 inches. Go to Sears, Walmart, sports stores that sell the equipment and actually lie on them to see if it comfortable. After that see if there is any thing posted on your local craigslist, classifieds, barter boards, ect. Don't buy crap, make sure the stuff you get is clean, rust free, and intact. Look for a bench with a barbell rack, bench steps, bar (they come in different weights 45# is standard, also 25, 15 and length 5&6ft), dumbbells, mats...buy what you can when you can.
