I have 3 routines: one from "women's home workout bible", one from a DVD called "I want that body", and one from the "30 day shred" DVD. I alternate between them, doing each once a week. You need to leave at least one day off between 2 strength workout days to let your muscles recover. The idea is that you overload the…

Hasselback potatoes! Easy and yummy: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/garlic-hasselback-potatoes-with-herbed-sour-cream-recipe/index.html I usually peel them first, and use greek yogurt instead of the sour cream.

Wow, that's very elaborate! How did you come up with this formula? Is it more accurate than HRM?

Thanks! Will check those out. I love Queen, but I'm not familiar with the rest of them.

One trick is to postpone the snack. It's easier to say "I'll eat it a bit later", than saying "I won't eat it". In the meanwhile chances are you'll get distracted and forget all about it. And even if you don't, you'll end up eating less because you start later :-)

Yes, I am very concerned about it! I've been having stomach issues for a while (seen lots of doctors but got no answers). It occurred to me that we have no idea how genetically modified food affects us. Maybe people with more sensitive stomachs have problems with them! I stopped eating wheat and vegetable oils (except…

Thanks for the responses! I have been doing moderate strength training 2-3 times a week for like 5 months now. But every now and then I overexercise, especially when starting new exercises, and I always wonder what's the right thing to do then. That last time was my first day of 30-day shred :-) Yes, it looks like a light…

Have you considered that losing weight SLOWLY may actually be BETTER for you? It's not just about losing weight - you want to keep it off, keep a healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life, and all these things. Plus you learn how to be patient and persistent. So if you think of a big picture, doing it slowly and…

Try the Gokhale method! It works great, and requires little effort. http://www.amazon.com/Steps-Pain-Free-Back-Solutions-Shoulder/dp/0979303605/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334616800&sr=8-1

No, it's not so terrible! I had problems with bloating and such for a long time, and went gluten-free a few months back. This really helped, and I don't feel this was such a big sacrifice at all! You want to stay off bread/bagels and such. But you can buy gluten-free bread/bagels at whole foods. The brand I'm buying is…

Eliminate both. Wait 2 weeks to see if you are consistently feeling better. If you do, add just one of them for a little while to see if this is the trigger. You may also want to google "elimination diet".

This is great, thanks!

Normally you stop eating wheat/diary for 2 weeks to see if you are feeling better. If you are not sure even after that, you introduce them again for a couple of weeks, and maybe stop them again later. This is called elimination diet - a good way to figure out what triggers your symptoms.
