  • You can do a ferry from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson - http://www.88844ferry.com/ They run 365 days a year. If you do that you will have bypassed the majority of the traffic in the city and Nassau. Good Luck!

  • I have lived and worked all over long island my entire life. What town are you headed to and where from? Typically main roads get busy from 8am to 10am and then 3:30pm to 6pm. So if you can get in and out between those times it would be best.
